"Marlene was knowledgeable, arrived on time, explained the process patiently, and worked diligently, despite the offensive vapors from chemical used to pre-treat the bathtub surface before liner application."

"Taylor R and Ethan W did a fantastic job replacing our shower today. They were extremely professional! Besides being concerned that what they did would serve our purposes, they were so careful with the entire house. The area was very clean and instructions were very thorough. Thanks Taylor and Ethan!"

"Our bathtub was leaking and the floor was dipping. John the representative was wonderful to work with. In 2 weeks Matt the installer came out and removed our cast iron tub. He repaired the plumbing, put in a new subfloor and installed a walk in shower. He was a hard worker and answered any questions we had. Our bathroom looks beautiful! We are very happy. And there is a lifetime warranty!"

"Excellent, we could not be more pleased. We hired Nathan after multiple issues with 2 other service providers (big box stores) to do a kitchen counter replacement. We were impressed with his knowledge, his high service level and his overall consultative advice and expertise. Very fair price and his team were friendly and professional. Nathan worked with us regarding a few challenges we faced with the countertop we chose, he was honest and willing to partner with us. We were most impressed with his patience and help. This was a minor refresh with some issues and he gave us great service despite the fact this was not a major project for him. In a day and age when good contractors are hard to find, Nathan and his team renewed our faith in honestly good workers. Most importantly, he was hand in hand managing his team the day of the installation right in our kitchen. His ownership and confidence were impressive. We really appreciated all the effort and quality work."

"The sales agent never when presenting his product, never showed me different prices of walk in tubs, but just quoted me their highest prices. Then when I asked about different price in the tub, he showed me a pic of 1 and told me to take a picture of it, never talked about the qualities or anything concerning it."

"You can stop right now. Bryan is the guy you want. We had a bathroom in a 100 yr old house that was built over an empty crawl space that was open to the elements. Our pipes froze twice in two years. The second time the plumbers couldn’t fix the leak (even though they charged us like they did). We talked to specialized contractors to get their ideas. We tried for a year to get a GC to fix it, but none of them thought the project was big enough. Bryan got back to us quickly and came and gave us a quote. A simple-ish project of a bathroom rehab turned into a complicated mess of demo, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, insulation, and hammer-drilling a hole in our 2 ft foundation. Bryan gave us a reasonable quote and assured us that he would be able to complete all the work himself (with his guy, which is a great story in itself) without subcontracting. Bryan was amazing. As a person he is helpful, friendly, trustworthy, and courteous. As a professional he is very qualified. He gave us advice on what we might want. He was very responsive to my wife’s questions... my wife’s very, very detailed questions. Also, my wife wants me to point out how clean and organized he was. Messes inevitable to demo were cleaned up before EOB. He left us little notes about his progress, too. I was a little concerned about letting a contractor into my house for several weeks, but I had the ability to work from home while he was here. Bryan was cool and not intrusive, and he took my work schedule into account when it came to drilling through the wall! By the end of the first week, I didn’t think about leaving the house and trusting him to be there alone. What makes Bryan unique in the contracting world is that he really does care. When he demo’ed our bathroom, he determined that he needed to replace the subfloor, which wasn’t a part of the contract. After he pulled up the subfloor, he found that one side of the bathroom was an inch lower than the other side. He shimmed the joists of an old house so that it was level and plumb in such a way that the new tile floor would not crack. He also added a new light over the shower that wasn’t in the contract just because it made sense and that was what he would want (and it didn’t cost us any). On top of all this Bryan did a fantastic job! The bathroom is beautiful and he respected our desire to reuse some of the existing fixtures to keep our budget within reason. I wouldn’t be sad if you don’t call him, because I want him to fix all of my things!"

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

Installing a bathtub can be complex, depending on your prior plumbing experience, the type of bathtub you’re installing, and whether you need to make any changes to your bathroom’s plumbing. It’s advisable to leave this job to the pros, especially if you’re new to the world of plumbing.

You can resurface or reglaze your bathtub, and it’s faster and less expensive than replacing a bathtub. Plus, replacing a bathtub is an extensive and intrusive process that requires wall repairs. Refinishing is an excellent option if the old one is in good working condition.

There are also options to install a bathtub liner over your existing tub. However, if you’re seeking a new bathtub with new features, you’ll likely want to replace your tub.

A drop-in tub is just one of the types of bathtubs available. Depending on your needs and the space available, you can consider an alcove tub for quick installation, a whirlpool tub for added relaxation, a freestanding tub for a statement piece, or a corner tub to take advantage of the space in a larger bathroom.

Yes. Common materials for Roman tubs are acrylic, fiberglass, cast iron, and stone resin. The choice you make can depend on various factors, including weight, cost, durability, style, heat retention, and aesthetics. Ultimately, it really depends on your space to determine the best option.

If your tub is attached to the wall, the best material will be one that can be shaped to fit your space perfectly. A cast-polymer, acrylic, or fiberglass tub will likely be the easiest to install as a built-in because it can be designed to fit your space.
