"Edwin was on time and preformed exactly what was discussed. He installed a new chimney insert and re-pointed the chimney. The work came out excellent! I would hire him again and recommend his team to anyone who is interested in this kind of service."

"Arrived early in the morning and worked continuously all day. The job was finished about 3:00PM. My property was cleaned up very well when the job was finished, including using magnets to pick up any stray nails. Everyone was very professional and nice. Roof looks beautiful and I am very happy with it. I would highly recommend this company"

"My husband explained to Alan from Westside what we wanted done. Alan explained the best way to do the project. He was very impressed  with his knowledge of the various projects we proposed. Alan got back with a competitive and fair price. The workers who arrived were the most courteous, skilled and hard working crew my husband has seen in a while. They went above and beyond professional thru and thru. The best compliment you could give a company is to have them return to do additional jobs. Suffice to say Alan is stopping by for another consultation for the next project lined up. Thanks again Westside."

"Anthony Masonry and chimney did an excellent job clearing a ton of trees and vines from my property. They were efficient and pleasant to work with - would 10 / 10 higher this company again. I also had them do some stonework leading up to my house, which came out phenomenal."

Chimney Caps questions, answered by experts

Most residential range hoods have a CFM between 200 and 600. A higher CFM means your range hood is better at removing smoke and odors from your kitchen. The measurement ultimately depends on your stove’s width and heat output as well as the size of your kitchen.

Compared to the average size of a stove and kitchen, 350 CFM would be the minimum recommended rating for the average kitchen. However, selecting a higher CFM range hood would guarantee better ventilation to match your cooking habits, whether they’re minimal or extensive.

No, range hoods do not necessarily have to be vented outside. Ductless or non-vented range hoods are available, which are common in condos or small kitchens where connecting to external ductwork isn't feasible. These hoods operate by taking in air, filtering it through charcoal filters to help eliminate smoke and odors, and then recirculating the cleaned air back into the kitchen. However, while these recirculating hoods are more versatile, venting to the outside is still the preferred and more effective method for completely removing smoke, odors, and gases from the room.

Ensures safe electrical connections and proper venting, improving kitchen air quality.

Typically 1-2 hours, factoring in ductwork and electrical connections.

A higher CFM will make the price of your range hood more expensive. It can be challenging to speculate how much the CFM rating affects price, but ductless range hoods—that don’t need as high of a CFM as ducted range hoods—are less expensive than their alternative. On average, ductless hoods cost between $100 and $300, while ducted hoods can cost as much as $1,000.
