After and during trimming, they picked up the cut branches leaving not even a leave behind. The tree will look so pretty when the leaves fill it out in the Spring. Mulching any time of year can be beneficial, so you can choose based on your preference. Most homeowners avoid the winter and summer because of the uncomfortable temperatures, so spring and fall are often best. Try not to mulch right before heavy rainfall or a big storm is expected, as wind and runoff can move newly laid mulch around and make more work for you.

No one likes running out of materials during a project, so calculating the right amount of gravel needed for your driveway is an absolute must. Multiply your driveway’s length by width by the depth of the gravel (in feet). For gravel depth, convert to a decimal (i.e., 4 inches is 0.33 feet). This will give you the cubic feet of material that you need.
