Not well, he did not complete the job. He was expensive. He never returned phone calls.

Mr. Montgomery came back and finished the work he started one year ago. He had to purchase a new machine for stump grinding. Most importantly, Mr. Montgomery is a man of his word who works hard. Five stars all the way… Thank you! (I was not able to delete my previous review.)

It went well.

The project turned out better than expected. Scheduling an estimate was quick, he listened to exactly what I wanted done, and even sent an insurance cert prior to arriving to complete the job. He arrived right on time, trimmed two very large trees off the house and power lines, asked for my input throughout, he had complete oversight of the project so nothing was missed. My backyard was transformed in just a few hours with the work he did. When they left, everything was cleaned up perfectly. I was really impressed with his service and will use Henry again in the future.

It went very well! Henry did a great job doing exactly what was requested. He and his helper were quick and did a great job cleaning up after the work was completed.

Today, we had several trees cut down behind our home which were not easy to get to… They were behind the fence line surrounded by many trees on all sides with no way to get big machines in (and they were very tall pines!). Not only did Henry come in less expensive than any one else, they cleaned up every last bit of debris. Cannot say enough good things about the company. So impressed with both Henry and his employees. Would highly recommend!

Mr. Montgomery offered excellent suggestions, performed the work to our satisfaction and charged a fair fee considering the time, expertise and care required for this type of work.

First I want to say that Henry Montgomery is sweet, kind, and has the patience of a saint. When I had trouble dealing with losing two trees that were right up against the house and obviously causing harm to the house, Henry came over a second time for no charge just to review once again what needed to be done and why it needed to be done. On the day of the work, Henry and his crew showed up right when he said they would. They did everything so very carefully, using ropes to keep large branches from hitting the house as they lowered them. They even got the bucket truck where they needed it without damaging anything they had to squeeze past. When I felt bad about losing the trees, Henry kept telling me it was the right thing to do for the protection of the house. He was very comforting. Then, after putting in many long hours that day, Henry and one of his team members started cleaning up. I could not believe the effort they put into making my yard look like nothing ever happened there. They not only removed all the logs and big branches, but they also picked up all the small branches, raked, and then used a leaf blower to get every bit of sawdust. I was just stunned because I have never had anyone be so efficient at the job and be so conscientious about cleaning up afterward. Henry even stood up to the bully neighbor for me! Thank you, Henry!! Anyone who is reading this review, do not hesitate about calling Henry Montgomery for your tree work. I don't know who those people are who gave him F reviews because I know that if there's anything you're not happy with, Henry will make it right if you give him the chance to. Work was done over two days. The tree was nested among other nearby trees. A bucket truck was used to segment the tree. Minimal damage was done to adjacent trees. Stumps were ground with a vehicle mounted grinder 8 inches below surface. Chips were removed and replaced with new top soil. Grass was seeded and covered with a layer of short straw segments in the vicinity of the seven stumps. Henry did not ask for payment until all the work was complete. We are very pleased with the results.

I had a number of estimates before choosing Henry, but I chose him for two reasons: 1. He could remove a large amount of dirt left from a pool install 2. He was personable 3. His price was insured and seasoned 4. His price was more than reasonable It did take quite a while between scheduling and the start of work, but once he came he finished and did a great job! I’ve had a stump removed before and was left with work to clear the area—-this time it never looked like anything was ever there! My pool has sun, and my land is clear of a dirt mound...I’m happy ! Excellent. Arrived on the days expected, work was excellent, property left immaculately clean. Also topsoiled/seeded/hayed the ground stumps. Very nice. So is Henry.

Both trees were taken down on 5/18, and I paid Henry in full because he was supposed to return the next day to remove the stumps. It rained that day, so the stumps were not removed, which I completely understand. We then had an appt on 6/16 to remove the stumps; Henry did not show up. Since then, I have called numerous times, and Henry has not returned my calls. So I have a job not completed even though it is fully paid for. Obviously I would not recommend this company.

I love my trees. Problem is though, our houses are so close together that there is room between them for only a single-lane driveway and enough ground for some volunteer trees to take root and grow – way up over the houses, where they shadow – and cool – the roofs (good!), drop carpenter ants and encourage moss to grow up between the shingles (not so good!). . . That’s to say nothing of the roots spreading out below ground – regardless of how much I cut back the branches above – toward and into the foundations! Sigh! So I called Henry. Even though I am sad to lose my trees, I must say that Henry did a beautiful job, even leaving behind some smaller shrubs since I wanted to keep as much as possible. Now we do have some open spaces around our houses – and the neighbors are very happy as well! Thank you, Henry!

Fantastic, I highly recommend Henry. My neighbor had several trees removed from her property bordering my driveway. I insisted on having a fully insured company since they needed access to my property for easier access & removal. I reached out to Henry and he was happy to provide a certificate of insurance promptly. Don't hire a gypsy contractor. They tend to lowball on quotes leaving legitimate businesses struggling to compete. That's because they're likely uninsured and don't have the overhead required to perform quality service, leaving you liable. I actually took my lunch break to run home and check on progress and everything was perfect. They were professional, polite and I have only good things to say about them. They even gingerly cleaned my dilapidated driveway afterwards without disturbing the loose asphalt. I have a propensity to complain and nit-pick. So when I see quality service, I'm self-obligated to grant the laurels they deserve.

Henry came to remove the tree and promised to return within 2 weeks to remove stump. He asked for full payment so I gave it to him assuming he would return. Two months later he has not returned. We have called to ask if he could give us a time frame- did not return calls. I would say do not give him any money until job is complete. His failure to return calls and offer a time - if he is delayed- is rude and irresponsible. Even with rain delays he should have returned to complete job after two month!

The job couldn't have gone better. In January Henry and crew removed all the trees and cleaned up thoroughly including using a leaf blower to remove leaves left over from the fall. This required less than a full day. In April they ground the stumps, removed the ground wood, put down topsoil where the stumps had been, spread grass seed, and covered it with straw in about half a day. The site was ready on time for the fence to be put in. Henry is personable and easy to work with. When I called him and left a message, he responded in about a day. I am very satisfied.

Mr Montgomery came and gave me an estimate within 2-3 days. It was very fair, and within two days had the tree completely removed and refilled, and reseeded the whole that was left behind. You would never have known the tree had just covered most of my yard. He's professional, fair pricing and very helpful in helping with the insurance part.

Mr. Montgomery and his crew did a fabulous job removing the enormous trees, grinding the stumps and roots. They put a huge amount of good quality topsoil in the bed so that it is ready to plant with something more appropriate to the location. After they removed the yews they left the site ready to plant something further from the house. The entire yard was left in immaculate condition.

Henry and his crew did an excellent job. The stump was removed and the entire area cleaned up and reseeded with new topsoil. It looks like it was never there! Great work!

Henry and his crew were prompt and dependable. He did all of the work I wanted and ben a bit more! Excellent service!
