"The Cruz Brothers were true professionals and craftsmen. Against a terrible backdrop with absurd inflation and supply chain bottlenecks, they were able to deliver a total backyard renovation in the targeted 3.5 months (some of which was unusable time to do winter). They did a fantastic job and all along the way were helpful in accommodating changes we jointly determined would be positive enhancements. They were always very responsive and keen to not sound like they were trying to steer us to add to the project – often being candid about how expensive certain things were becoming versus what they were used to (again, because of a broken post-Covid world when it comes to supply and commodity costs). In the many months since, they have checked in periodically to make sure everything is OK. We are very very happy with how everything worked out."

"THE WORK THE EMPLOYEES DID WAS VERY NICE. THE BOSS HOWEVER WAS VERY PUSHY. TYPICAL SALESMAN A SIMPLE JOB TURNED INTO 29,000 THEM UPPED TO 55,000. I HAD 2 OTHER COMPANIES LOOK AT THE JOB AND CANT BELIEVE THEY CHARGED 55,000. THEN ON TOP OF THAT WANTED TO REDO MY DRIVEWAY AND WAS DOING ME A FAVOR OF ONLY CHARGING 100,000. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. WHEN THEY WERE FINISHED THE CLEANUP WAS TERRIBLE THEY PUT TOPSOIL ALL OVER THE SURROUNDING AREA THAT WAS FULL OF STONES, ETC. LANDSCAPERS HAD TO RIP OUT AND REDO. As a general rule of thumb, allow 24 hours for penetrating sealers to cure and at least 48 hours of drying time for most topical sealers. Always check the instructions for the sealing product you’re using to determine the drying time.

It’s best to avoid rain on freshly poured concrete for 48 to 72 hours for the best results, but you’ll see minimal losses of strength as long as your concrete remains dry for five hours after pouring. You can either wait for dry conditions to pour your concrete or cover the area with a tarp to help keep it dry.

Ideally, your concrete should set slightly above ground at an angle sloping away from the fence post. This will add extra support and allow water to run away from the wood fence post. Keeping water out will help prevent wood rot. Additionally, you can add soil on top of the concrete for a seamless finish. 

Vinyl fence posts need concrete for longevity and stability. Later on, if a fence post is loose, you may be able to use expandable foam to repair the post. Expandable post foam works well for repairs or temporary fences. But when it comes to initially installing the post, always use concrete for the best results.
