"We needed vertical bricks redone on our front steps, as well as concrete repair to floor by our side garage door and new concrete slab outside that door. Owner responded promptly to our request, was able to do the work within a few days and the crew did an excellent job. They were friendly, courteous and professional, and I would definitely recommend them for masonry work! In addition they agreed to install a metal railing on our front step that had never had one before. We had ordered one that wasn't in when they did the masonry work, and they came back at a later date to install the railing. All good work and very much appreciated!"

"It went great! I needed a hand rail put up asap and they came immediately to get it done. Another time I had a powder room ceiling leak and shower door leak and that got fixed as well. Very satisfied!"

"James installed concrete steps off the back of our garage over 20 years ago. We were so impressed with his work ethic and excellent job, we just had to hire him again. We needed a large concrete slab for a hot tub. James went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right. He is a very hard worker that will make sure the project is done exactly the way it should be."

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

As with any smoking appliance, a smoking oven is a concerning fire risk. It also negatively impacts your indoor air quality, which can put vulnerable people at risk of breathing problems. A dirty oven can catch fire if you don’t stay on top of regular maintenance, so remember to check your oven for signs that it’s time for a cleaning and remove buildup every three months to stay on the safe side.

The NFPA model codes and International Residential Code (IRC) mandate that all new one- and two-family homes have fire sprinkler systems. However, all municipalities are different. The best way to determine if your municipality requires fire sprinklers is to contact your state fire marshal’s office. One reason to install a fire sprinkler system is that it’s the first line of defense in putting out a fire and alerting your family of emergencies.

Fire sprinkler systems give your home’s value a boost. Potential home buyers are looking for a safe place to settle, and a well-maintained sprinkler system can provide peace of mind. Plus, some homeowners insurance policies offer discounted rates for homes with this type of built-in system, thanks to the decreased risk of fire.

Yes. It’s okay to leave a pellet stove on overnight, and these stoves can provide 24 to 48 hours of warmth from one ignition. However, you should practice proper pellet stove maintenance, like cleaning the burn pot before each use, deep cleaning the unit at least once per year, and running the fan when the stove is lit.

There aren’t many problems with fire doors except that they slow down or cut off ventilation at the higher rating levels. For this reason, work with a professional to ensure you have adequate ventilation throughout your house or workspace. The sealing around a fire door is meant to allow for a specific amount of ventilation and will need regular inspections to ensure adequate airflow.
