"This is a long overdue review and brought to my attention by Mike when he requested a review for a retaining wall just completed. Three years ago MFS Masonry reconstructed our pool deck and pool area. I did not know what exactly I wanted except that I wanted it to look great. He has such experience that he was able to suggest a lovely plan for the deck to surround our 16 by 32 in ground pool and river rock for landscaping. His crew worked tirelessly breaking up and removing concrete, shaping and reinforcing for the new concrete deck, and making it look perfect. They were prompt and respectful of our property and completed the job in two or three days. More to point, that pool job was the third time they did a job for us. Can't recommend them enough."

"Alan arrived on time and after a survey of the work needed gave an estimate within an hour and scheduled the work within the week. Mix the resurfacer into a sticky mixture. The consistency should look like mashed potatoes. Use a squeegee to push the resurfacer across the pitted area and smoothen the surface with a cement trowel flush. Make sure you protect any expansion joints with a weather strip. Alternatively, cut out any resurfacer that touched the joint once the mixture begins to harden.

The easiest way to handle extra-wet cement is to pour it, let it harden, and then recycle it using one of the methods above. You can also crush it down and sell it for base materials, although this can be pretty time-consuming. Your best bet is to start with less concrete than you need and make more as you go to avoid this problem.
