I told Mike politely that I did not feel comfortable with his young son doing the work, and he immediately took offense, saying that he had been sealing driveways since he was ?8 years old? and saw no harm in it?then told me he would never have started my job & would never work for me again. Very rude and nasty, considering my only concern was for his young child. He said he used ?environmentally friendly? materials, but I very much doubt breathing in those fumes all day is harmless. It?s his child of course, but I hoped he would think about what he was exposing him to. I allowed him to finish the job, but I wouldn?t want to hire him again because I?d much rather my money went to someone who cares more about their child?s health than making money."

In 2016, with the economy booming and the need for our services diminished,the company shifted it's focus to commercial consulting, serving millwork (custom woodwork and cabinet) companies in the NYC and Washington DC markets. When the corona virus pandemic besieged us all, we realized that there was an opportunity to once again serve our community, but in a more future focused manner that made full use of the skills gained in energy efficiency and home improvement we had developed over the years. LDR is now focused on providing a very special, very important need to our community and our world-hyper energy efficient Passive House buildings as new homes and home renovations. We will no longer do smaller remodeling projects like kitchens, baths, additions and basements. We have moved on to doing just whole house Passive House 'Renphits' or new build Passive House homes.
