"As with all home improvement projects, you're going to run into unseen problems. Tom had to move a dishwasher, a dryer and washing machine. He noticed that the dryer vent was installed incorrectly and there was an electrical issue with the dishwasher. He fixed all that. He didn't have to be concerned about any of that, but he genuinely was concerned.
These are busy guys and I can see why. They came out immediately to look at the project. They gave me an estimate as to when they could do the job, and they called every week with an update. Very reassuring.
They are kind and very professional. I already have another project for them. Can't wait. It truly has been a wonderful experience. You hear so much negative crap about contractors and scam artists these days, it is SO refreshing to come across a company like this!!!!

"I found John's name and contact information on the Irondequoit group on Facebook after several people had recommended him for HVAC services. After my furnace ignitor began to malfunction, I called him up and he was able to come over to look at the problem on the same day, and summarized my options to remedy the problem including parts, materials, labor costs, etc. As my boiler system is over 30 years old at this point, I opted to go with a brand new one. Knowing that my boiler may be nearing the end of its lifespan (and in the middle of winter) John scheduled himself for the work within a week's time. He was in my home all day and installed my new boiler along with the accompanying new piping, parts and fittings, including expansion tank, shut off valves, flu vents, etc. He was very professional, thorough, courteous, and cleaned up my basement and left it the way I found it. I would highly, highly recommend him to others."

"The job went very well. Doug provided a very fair quote to replace my 4 year old roof that was very poorly installed by a different contractor. He also provided a quote to replace my family room ceiling which was damaged due to the roof leaking. He responded to my request for an estimate within minutes and was at my house within 30 minutes to determine the work to be done. He was upset by the work by the previous contractor and his goal was to restore my confidence in small business contractors and he and his workers definitely did that. Doug and the crew were thorough and attentive to small details. They went above and beyond on some aspects of the job.....manufacturing and installing a finished edge where the roof met the house on the garage and on an addition, matching the paint color of my siding for that edging, painting the roof vents and power vent, adding very nice crown molding on the newly installed ceiling. The crew was friendly and respectful of my property and Doug checked in regularly to make sure things were progressing well and that I was satisfied. The job did take longer than the original estimate, but that was because of the issues that had to be dealt with. The work was completed for the price quoted. "it)We moved into a new house two months ago and I first noticed water on the basement floor after a heavy rain and after I had done a load of washing.  I called Valle Plumbing after seeing the company on Angie's list and David Valle arrived on time and showed me that the sink was cracked in two places.  We explained that this was a basement laundry sink we would like to replace it with an inexpensive one and so he he called for prices and installed the new one.  Everything went without a problem and we enjoyed chatting to David while he worked.
I recommended him to my son who had a blocked sink (I think one of his children had stuffed something down it).  David went to his house on a Saturday morning and fixed the problem."

"The estimator was very knowledgeable and explained his products and services very well.  He provided a detailed plan and estimate.
The installation was done all in one day - including removal of the old counter top and the installation of the new counter top - and it was done on the pre-scheduled day.  Sears was excellent at accommodating our scheduling restrictions.  The new counter top looks nice and we are very happy with the result.
There were a few glitches - the garbage disposal leaked and needed service, and it was tough to get an updated estimate when we made a mid-stream change - but we were still very happy with the result.
Note that the Sears office that we dealt with is in Sharon Hill PA, not in Windsor Mill MA as listed by Angie's List, and the corporate headquarters is in Longwood FL.

"My drywall was a mess after taking down 1970s-era foil wallpaper.  He skimmed my walls and made them look great!  He really wants the job to come out terrific, so once everything is put back into the bathroom (toilet, vanity, floor), he's going to come by to touch up any damage to the drywall caused by the installers.  His price was very reasonable, too.
It's hard to find a really adept drywaller.  If you're looking for someone to do your drywall, you've found your man!
