"Woodchuck Tree Service did a fantastic job for us at a reasonable price. They made some recommendations to improve the appearance of trees on our property. The cleanup procedure was very well done. We are happy repeat customers and would recommend to anyone wanting excellent tree maintenance."

"I had a great experience hiring Arbor Care Tree Management. Led by a certified Arborist, this highly skilled team showed what true professionals can do when they face challenging jobs like mine. I had a 65 ft Spruce tree that stood a few feet from my shed and was surrounded by fencing and structures on my neighbors property. There was no way this tree could be felled by standard methods. Arbor Care found a way to set up a complex rigging system which they used to take the tree down in sections with no damage. Even a family of Wrens that lived in a birdhouse just a few feet from the tree were untouched. I also had them prune two very large trees, a Beech, and an Oak. They literally went out on a limb to reach areas in those trees. Now my trees are healthy again and look so much better. There is a lot more sunlight in my yard now. It makes the yard look and feel airy and open again. My wife and I are looking forward to spending time on our patio now. Arbor Care came with the right equipment to get the job done. You can tell they care about the safety of their tree climbers, and they care about protecting your trees and property too. The results were amazing, the price was fair, and they were a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Arbor Care and will definitely use them again."

"Jay was prompt in getting back to us. He is a very pleasant person , very reasonably priced, and did excellent work for us. We needed some shrubs trimmed and some fall prep work done. "I was very satisfied with Sergio and his team of two other guys that did the project. They were prompt, competeively priced, and did a high quality job. I made sure to get Sergio's business card to keep for future reference. I would recommend Benignos Elite for any tree trimming project."

"They did a great job. In addition to taking down the tree and grinding out the stump, they also chased the large roots, removed the chips, added topsoil and seeded the whole area! Happy and impressed!"

"The quick response was so welcoming and refreshing. I literally called and by the next day, my two big trees were down. The yard was cleaner than when they had arrived, friendly staff and great cleanup. I couldnâ t believe how quickly the trees came down. They worked with the neighbors because we needed access to there yard . It was an enjoyable experience. Iâ ve been a landlord for 20 years and never worked with such a professional tree company. Very professional and courteous, I highly recommend them."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Sudden oak death and oak wilt are different diseases. Oak wilt first shows up in tree leaves while sudden oak death affects the branches and trunk. However, as symptoms in both can overlap, it’s best to consult a professional arborist tree expert for a proper diagnosis and development of a treatment plan.

The amount of time it takes for a tree trunk to rot depends on several factors, including the tree’s size, species, and environmental conditions. It can take anywhere from a few years to several decades for a tree’s trunk to rot. A tree stump, on the other hand, can take up to 10 years to disappear after it’s decayed naturally.

Yes, you should trim the lower branches of your maple tree for safety. Trimming maple trees as they grow helps lift the crown and canopy and trains it to grow straight up. A good rule of thumb is to prune enough branches to leave 6 feet of clearance under the tree.

Yes, cutting a tree's roots can cause it to fall, particularly if major support roots are severed. In extreme cases, trimming roots can affect the tree's structure and stability. Many crucial roots are located just below the soil's surface. If you make severe cuts to roots more than 2 inches in diameter, you risk impacting the tree's water flow and its ability to withstand severe winds or storms. Even cutting roots less than half an inch in diameter under or outside the tree's canopy can cut off its water supply, causing it to decline, die, and eventually topple.

Ensures complete removal and mitigates risks of underground root damage.
