"Paul was very personable and knowledgeable. He cut down several dead, very tall old trees in the back of our lot. It was done efficiently. The trees were cut down and taken away and debris cleaned up sufficiently. I would recommend Muolo's Tree Service and if need further tree removal in the future will most likely be calling on his again."

"Our backyard ground cover was out of control and needed to be removed, along with raking and removing leaves from our easement and general spring clean-up. Jay was great to work with from start to finish. This was not an easy job, but he and his crew had our yard looking beautiful in under three hours. We definitely will be using Snyder & Sons Lawn and Landscaping for fall and spring clean-up in the future, as well as other landscaping projects.."

"I highly recommend Lawton Land Management! They cleared branches and brush from our yard quickly and did an outstanding job. From the first message, they were incredibly responsive and had us scheduled within 24 hours. The work was completed efficiently, and they were respectful, courteous, and professional throughout the entire process. It’s hard to find a company that’s this reliable and easy to work with. We will definitely use them again for future projects!"

"Very well. 3-4 problem limbs were safely pruned and then hauled away. The 3 man crew was courteous, efficient and after the cuts, other than the new sunlight, one could not even tell they were here. All done on a Sunday afternoon when I had felt I was in dire need to get the offending limbs cut down ASAP. A dreary morning ended the day as a bright day for me all because of the professionalism and efficiency of Ralph and his tree company “Down Right Tree Experts”. When I awakened and fully realized my problem, I quickly decided then and there to go to Angi.com to find its recommendation to get a tree surgeon for my problem limbs pushing against my fascia, roof and backyard gutters. From a short list provided of 4 companies by Angi, I chose “ Down Right Tree Experts”. Ralph Kent, it’s principle partner, contacted me by text and was very gracious and respectful. Not at all “pushy”. Within a short time he and I decided that around 4pm he would send his men (working on another job) out to my home to look over my problem limbs and to take care of them if possible. Great!! The crew of three came, at the time they said they would, evaluated the situation, discuss everything with me, got my permission, and completed the work safely, neatly and effectively. The cost to me I thought was fair and reasonable. The crew cleaned up and carried all parts of the pruned tree limbs away for disposal. One would never know that they were even there. Because of the respect, fair cost and the total satisfactory of the job completion, I would consider hiring this company again!!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

In most ways, palm trees are incredibly low-maintenance. They don’t need a ton of water—which is why they’re so beloved in desert regions—and they basically prune themselves. But they do need an ample supply of sunlight and to be in soil that will allow for proper drainage so that their roots don’t become waterlogged and at risk of developing illnesses.

If the plant begins to wilt, develop spots, or change color, these could all be signs that your palm tree has a disease. But a few basic treatments, like pruning and applying fungicide, will usually be more than enough to return it to perfect health.

It depends. Smaller, younger trees take longer to mature, but they're more resilient, their roots don't get as damaged during transplanting, and they recover faster. Plus, they're much more affordable to plant, and it's possible to DIY the planting.

On the other hand, mature trees produce fruit faster and provide more shade and privacy immediately. Ideally, a small or medium tree is the better choice if you can wait a few years for it to mature. But if you need immediate maturity, a larger tree is the only option.

Ivy eventually kills trees by restricting its growth, blocking sunlight, absorbing nutrients and water from the soil, and weakening the tree. Trees with ivy are more likely to experience diseases, pests, rot, and fungi growth. When ivy weighs down tree branches, the tree is more likely to break during a storm and cause damage.

Unlike some fruit trees, such as apple, sweet cherry, or pear that require at least two trees for pollination, most peach trees are self-pollinating. This means you can plant just one tree and still expect it to produce fruit, typically within two to four years. For best results, consult with a local landscaper to choose the right peach tree variety for your specific climate, soil type, and yard layout.

You’ll have to balance up the cost, the value of the tree (sentimental or otherwise), and the risk factors. An experienced arborist will help you understand whether transplanting is likely to be successful. The cost and hassle of transplanting a large, well-established tree are often not worth it, especially if the species is fast-growing and easy to source. The decision depends on the age and species of the tree, the conditions in the new site location, and how careful the company is when digging out and moving the tree.
