Commercial Lawn Care Fall / Spring Clean Up Service
John, Andrew & Co did a wonderful job transforming my 1 1/2 acre property in Baldwinsville, despite the 95 degrees and the ground bees!!!! They were knowledgeable, efficient, reliable, polite and did wonders in 2 days! I am even going to hire them to come through the year to maintain their work and not let the weeds take over again!!!

Shrub Trimming or Removal Service
John was very prompt & courteous on supplying a quote. Assuring us that his work was top quality. However, after hiring him he took every possible shortcut and paid little to no attention to our wishes & his initial promises. For example, when we complained that the edging he installed was too high for the mower go over it, he said he would fix it. Instead of fixing it, he totally removed the edging. Instead of removing our existing flower beds, he simply weedwacked them (& in the process destroyed 3 of our soaker hoses), covered the area in landscape fabric and mulched & rocked on top of that. Job is three weeks old & there are weeds coming up already. When contacted, he said he did everything he was supposed to. When dealing with this person, get every detail in writing and do not trust his word. I would strongly recommend looking someplace else for landscaping services. Would definitely not use this company again.

Tree Removal
I initially hired John & his crew to remove five pine trees that were too close to the house. Two of them were 80-footers! His price was very reasonable. His team showed up when he said they would and they worked fast and efficiently to remove the trees and the stumps. A couple of weeks later I hired John & his crew again -- this time to remove two smaller trees in the back. Same great experience. Would absolutely use John & his crew again -- and recommend them to others. John is also a professional with excellent communication and client skills -- which is always appreciated!

John was hired to take out an invasive weed along with general weed removal. He did not take all of the invasive weed out and blamed me for not pointing it all out in addition to not cleaning up debris. He did return to finish taking out the weed but got upset and walked off the job. Very unprofessional and thin skinned.

I believe communication could have been better. Partly my fault. I think company should take the responsibility of clear and timely communication about the services being requested. Had stone delivered and was a good value.

Tree Removal
Hired Next Generation Lawn Care, operated by John Rio out of Jordon NY, to take down 13 trees, remove from property, grind 4 stumps and cut remaining stumps to ground level. Work started on November 16, 2020. As of December 11 all of the trees were down but removal from property and stump work were left to be done. John Rio was paid in full for the job with the promise that remaining work would be completed by the end of the year. As of November 11, 2021 the job has still not been completed. There are many tree branches that still need to be removed from the property and the stump work remains to be completed. In addition, one of the trees fell across the driveway onto the front yard causing damage to the lawn. John agreed that he would make full repairs on the lawn. Repair of the lawn was never done and had to be completed by me. John has made serval promises on when the job would be completed. None of the promises have been kept. I have called John several times, but my voice mail messages go un-answered. I would not recommend hiring Next Generation Lawn care for any type of tree removal work. Their price quoted was very reasonable, but they are very unreliable, have poor communications, and do not follow through on promises to complete the job.

Tree Removal
John Rio came on time to provide a quote for removal of six tall fir trees close to our house. We hired him and they were able to come earlier than expected. Their work was efficiently performed and expertly done. He had to do some creative maneuvering to get his large lift to avoid power lines and reach the trees in a tight space. Cleanup was thorough and as he described before work began.

We had a large area of brush and stumps that need to be cleared, graded, top soiled, and seeded. I also had some landscape trimming to do around my house. Within a few hours of posting this job, John Rio was at my house. He listened attentively to my needs, asked clarifying questions, and gave me a verbal estimate right on the spot, followed by a written estimate. His price was very fair considering the scope of work. John showed up when he said he would, did the work with efficiency, His team was focused on my complete satisfaction and went the extra mile when some large rocks had to be removed, and several trees felled. I am very pleased with the result. Iâ ve already hired Next Generation to do a second job.
