"Earth Tenders Tree Care and the owner are awesome. He worked with me for a great experience and a great value for the job. They worked extremely hard on the two giant trees in my backyard. I would recommend Earth Tenders to family and friends."

"These are the guys you want to hire for your tree service. Justin and his crew are quick, efficient, respectful of the properties they're working on and go above and beyond - all while offering extremely reasonable pricing. There are a lot of options out there for tree service, but these guys are a tier above the rest because they take genuine pride in their work and aren't just trying to make a quick buck. Happy to say they'll be my go-to for tree/property service in the area."

"I highly recommend Muolo’s Tree Service for all of your tree or shrubbery needs. I called Paul and he immediately came out and provided a free cost effective estimate for tree removal. Paul took the time to listen to my tree removal needs, discussed options with me as well as additional tree maintenance for my other trees. Paul @ Muolo’s Tree Service will be my only phone call should I have any additional tree removal or maintanence needs. I am incredibly happy with the prompt service and the end result. Thank you !!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Generally, no, tree topping isn’t a good technique, and you should avoid using it in most cases. Tree topping may be the only good option to save a tree following severe damage after a storm, but in most other cases, it’s not the right choice. Tree topping can leave trees vulnerable to disease and further damage, and most pros will suggest against it.

Yes, it is highly recommended to remove tree stumps. Leaving them in the ground can lead to several problems, as they are not only unsightly but can also reduce your property's value. Stumps can obstruct landscaping plans, make mowing difficult, and hinder new growth. More importantly, they are prime breeding grounds for pests like termites, ants, and mice, which can spread to your home and cause costly damage to its wood and foundation. Stumps also attract fungi and diseases that can infect other healthy trees and plants in your yard. As a stump decays, it might sprout new, unwanted shoots. While removing a stump is an investment, it prevents these potential issues and enhances the safety, health, and appearance of your landscape.

The depth of tree roots depends on the species. Trees like oaks and maples can have root systems that grow down 20 feet or more. However, trees that grow in shallow soils will have roots that go only a few feet down. Research how your tree species grows in your climate area to estimate root depth.

You should prune ornamental trees once every other year after the fruit has matured and begun to drop. You should also prune out dead branches whenever you see them. Pruning too often can stimulate more growth, especially in faster growing varieties like Bradford pears.

Transplanting a palm tree is a similar process except for a couple of important differences. First, their root ball doesn’t need to be as large as a “true” tree, which makes them a bit easier to dig up and move around. Second, they struggle more with taking root and staying upright in a new location, so it’s important to give them extra support when staking.
