The power washing and sealing were carefully done, and a worker came back the next day to check the work and touch up any small spots that may have been missed. "The project: Frank's Basement Systems installed new drain tile around about 75% of my basement. They also added their BrightWall in a few areas. Pros: First of all, the project was completed, and I'm very pleased to say that the drain tile seems to be doing it's job. When it rains I'm not seeing any water in the formerly-problematic corner of the basement, so that's a big success. I'll add that our salesperson Ray was an absolute all-star to work with. He did not try to upsell us, and he stayed in communication after the job to make sure we were satisfied. He really made us feel like he wanted what was best for us and our home, and we tremendously appreciated that. Cons: The whole crew called out on the second day what was supposed to be a two-day job, so it ended up taking much longer than we hoped. That second day was a Friday, so we were stuck with the basement a mess over the weekend and into the next week, which was tough. The drain tile had to go under the stairs to the basement and those stairs were absolutely demolished and had to be replaced. They told me while they were on-site that it was going to be my responsibility to replace them which left me without the bottom three stairs to my basement for a couple of weeks, but ultimately they connected me with a contractor who put new stairs in for us. During the job they accidentally caused a leak in one of my steam pipes, but they also helped me find a company that would replace that as well. Lastly, they left the basement a dusty mess. In fact, we still have to wear specific shoes into the basement because even after vacuuming and mopping a few times, it is still so dusty, and that dust gets tracked to the rest of our house if we leave our "basement shoes" on and go anywhere else. Overall: Frank's gave us a good price and, again, we sincerely appreciated Ray's guidance before and after the job. The most important thing is that the drain tile is working, so despite a few challenges we are satisfied with the outcome. We will be calling Ray back in a couple of years when we need to do the rest of the basement...hopefully some of the dust will be gone by then!!"

"I had a small but complicated, hard to access, and structurally essential repair job on a 60-year-old concrete deck attached to my 280-year-old Pennsylvania limestone farmhouse. I contacted several masons listed for my area on Home Advisor, and included Mr. Grady as a long shot -- I read about his expertise with historical structures and wished I had access to such an expert craftsman, but I didn't think he'd be interested in my teeny job and assumed I wouldn't be able to afford him anyway. He was the first one to return my call and to look at the job, and I thought his price was fair. I believe now it was way more than fair, considering the time he spent. He did extensive research, going over a structural engineer's report I had done previously on the deck and even examining the original architectural drawings and materials invoices from 1959. He showed up at least three times to complete the repair in stages, and has been back a half a dozen times since then to check the job -- and my location is not exactly in his neighborhood. He accepted only enough payment in advance to pay for lodging for himself and his assistant when they stayed nearby one night in order to be there early the next morning. He gave and continues to give free advice about preserving my stone house and patio. If you prod him a little, he might even share some of his personal philosophy, earned over a lifetime of work that is clearly more of an art form than a job to him. Overall, I'd say you can hire one of many competent contractors and get an adequate job, or you can hire Mr. Grady and get superior work by someone who cares about your property as much as you do."

WOW!!  Incredible work so far....project is still ongoing.  Neighbors are so impressed and amazed, that some will be contacting him when they are ready for work. Wish I could post photos of before & after, the change in our roofline looks like a completely different house. 

 Randy is very honest, knowledgeable and easy to talk to, down to earth.   Having allergy issues, he is very willing to work with me and listen to my concerns. The guys working for him are very professional, extremely hard working and trustworthy. No worries. Highly recommend.....will update when project is totally done, weather permitting. No question as to who we will call first when we need any additional work done - if I haven't make him crazy by then.
