Highfield Joinery is a one man operation focusing in high-level historical knowledge and legacy materials, including linseed paint and putty, lime mortar, and high levels of salvage, dutchman repairs, patching, and "re-livening" wood considered unsalvageable. This can save thousands, especially for old doors and window sashes, attics, siding, and porches, while preserving the architectural integrity and therefore curb value others may not be aware of. Because of the age and uniqueness of each task, I use many hand tools which allow the flexibility and detail required, but also encourage the same results and even tool marks as the originals, and can be an absolute value over time as they may last just as long. I has become common to spend a year’s salary on a repair, only to find it failing or aged in just a short while. You will be placing holes in the wall to hang the mounting bracket. If you’re mounting a large TV, the bolts in use could make significant holes around half an inch in diameter. It is possible to repair plaster yourself, but we don’t recommend it. Plaster repair is easy in theory but difficult in practice.
