He could do everything I wanted and more. The first job was having his friend do the roof and the gutters. He did a fine job - he was very professional and the roof came out great. In fact, I couldn't figure out why my smoke detector on the second floor was leaking water - and he came to figure it out - went all over the roof and into my attic - and saw that my air conditioning condensation tray was directly over the smoke detector so it leaked into it. He said it would probably never happen again. I will look for the name of the roofer and post a stellar review - just couldn't find it to post it for this loser. The basement was done OK with the exception of the carpeting. The installer he used banged up the paint job during his job. When I vacuumed the stairs for the first time, ( I'm not proud - but it was not until May since I do not use the basement at this time) a loose fiber got sucked into the vacuum and 2 inches of the padding became exposed because the installation was faulty. The carpet just unravelled!!! I requested the name of the installer so I could contact him directly but Peter Fox refused. I did all of the spackling and repairs to the interior walls to save on expense. I was charged over 3000.00 for painting one coat for three rooms along with a cathedral ceiling.. which would have been OK except the ceiling was never painted. I had to call Peter out on it to get them to paint the ceiling. Also - one coat was not enough - and if I did not insist on a 2nd - Peter Fox would have left it looking like crap. Being ripped off for the electrical work that his electrician was supposed to do is what pushed me over the edge. His electrician spent about two hours at my property and subcontracted other work out to his friend - whom I don't know - however I was billed two thousand dollars for the installation of 3 basic ceiling fixtures and two bathroom fans. Pete used substandard wood for the deck, causing many boards to warp and separate from the floor and the railings. He used wood putty extensively which made the railings have unsightly bumps, dark spots and light spots. Every post used next to a gate developed gaping splits down the middle of each one. It was unbelievable. I forwarded Peter photos of the poor workmanship that I had paid top dollar for - but he was not interested. I paid a carpenter almost 500.00 for repairs last summer just so I could stain the rest of the deck. Basement Leak Repair reviews from real Angi homeowners in Eastchester, NY
They were very unprofessional, they were tardy and late showing up and my basement still leaks and they damaged my property and they won't return my calls.
The provider thoroughly inspected our basement for leaks and recommended a french drain system. Fortunately, the need is not immediate.

"The visit to my home in West Hartford was a nice affair. The technician explained everything. He even mentioned that I had to get a plumber to remove the sink away from the wall, so the work could be done to repair the window and wall area, but I did not hear him mention that I had to pull permits. The problem with this permit pulling issue is that I never initiated the pulling of permits, and this also is a red flag for me. The pulling of a permit should always be done by the contractor who is doing the job. It ensures that the permit pulled is to code. It ensures that the permit pulled follows local ordinance and CT. laws and statutes regarding construction, and that also includes consumer protection mandates in the State of Connecticut. Having me pull the permit to allow the CT. Basement Systems to do the work is a big, red flag, and it can result in my home owner's policy being cancelled if the permits are pulled either after the fact, or the permits pulled do not line up with the inspection process. I can also be fined by the town for pulling permits after the fact too. I've had my furnace replaced. The plumbing company who replaced the furnace followed state law and guidelines. Especially, since funding provided through a loan from a Credit Union chosen by the State of Connecticut ensured that permits were pulled correctly, legally. The same applies to my roof being replaced. The roofing company pulled the permit. Having a customer whom you are charging in excess of $20,000 to pull a permit is putting that customer in legal jeopardy, which is unacceptable. If I sell my house, and I had the work done in my basement, and the permits were pulled by me. The person who bought my house could sue me for an incorrectly pulled permit. How would I answer questions from the town about the technical aspects of the job, which should be handled by the contractor directly? Why introduce another layer of bureaucracy that slows down communication? Have the contractor pull the permit, so that the contractor and the municipality, town or city can communicate directly, and the pulling of the permit is done correctly and legally. How would I know, when the town should be doing an inspection during or while the job is being completed or after the job is completed? This should never be a requirement of the customer to pull the permit for a job to be done. The tech who visited my home mentioned that I had to hire a plumber to move a basement sink, but they did not mention about pulling of permits, but I went and re-read the quote again, and it is at the bottom of the quote page under "Customer Will" that states not only hiring of the plumber but also pulling permits and scheduling inspections. I did not have this job financed by CT. Basement Systems. I, instead, decided to get a home equity loan. If I did not get the home equity loan, then decided to go with CT. Basement Systems financing, then I would be screwed. The best thing I did was slow the process down, seek my own financing, and ask larger, bigger, deeper questions that prevented me from making a mistake by allowing this work to be done."

"C&C completely gutted and renovated our hall bath and partially redid the master bath. The work included repair to downstairs ceilings, painting, as well as replacement of numerous doors, and replacing hardware in other rooms. I cannot say enough good things about this company and crew. They did impeccable work, were patient and helpful when materials delivered incorrectly and immediately helped us figure out solutions that turned out better than our original plans. They were respectful in our home, did amazing daily cleanup and the end result exceeded our expectations, which is not easy to do. Their estimate was spot on, no up-charging or hidden costs and the job was finished two days earlier than estimated. C&C will be our first choice for all our future renovation plans!"

FAQs for basement leak repair projects in Eastchester, NY
The cost to finish a basement is $18,400 for the average homeowner. However, this cost could be as little as $2,800 or as much as $34,500, depending on the basement size and the materials needed. If your basement is already outfitted with electrical and plumbing, expect the cost to fall on the lower end.
For example, the drywall cost for this project averages around $1,750, but other features, like hiring a plumber, cost between $45 and $200 per hour.
The cost to remodel a basement is between $12,100 and $33,400 for the average homeowner. The price you pay can be as little as $3,500 or as much as $50,200, depending on the size and condition of your basement and the type of remodel you're doing.
If you're doing a simple project like adding a home office to your basement, you can expect to pay anywhere from $500 to $3,000. However, if you're adding a bathroom, which is an extensive project, you can expect to pay between $6,600 to $16,500.
Damp proofing and waterproofing are both methods to help keep your basement dry. Damp proofing keeps soil moisture from entering your basement, which is helpful since your basement is underground. Waterproofing, however, keeps both soil moisture and liquid water out of the basement, which is essential, especially if you live in a wet environment. Because it’s more protective, waterproofing typically costs more than damp proofing.
Although homeowners often use the terms basement remodeling and basement finishing interchangeably, they are quite different terms.
Finishing a basement is the process of taking a basement space that is not habitable and adding elements to make it usable. This includes adding plumbing, flooring, and insulation.
Remodeling a basement means taking an already existing finished basement and changing it, often by adding or removing walls, adding plumbing, or changing the existing flooring.
The cost of basement waterproofing is $4,950 for the average homeowner. However, you could end up paying between $600 and $14,000, depending on factors like basement size, waterproofing method, and the region you live in.
If you live in an area with heavy rainfall, you might be paying more for waterproofing than if you lived somewhere drier since waterproofing contractors would be in high demand. Likewise, a 500-foot basement costs between $2,500and $5,000 to waterproof, but that price rises significantly for a larger basement.
