"Repaired 2 cracks in basement wall that have been producing water in my basement for years. Thus far 2 rainstorms that in the past would have caused water to be in my basement hae not done so. "Woodford brothers did a great job waterproofing my basement. There estimate was right on par with other companies and actually a bit lower. The workers were very professional and very respectful of my property and house. Shoutout to Hunter who answered all questions thoroughly and didn’t mind at all how many I had as he was working! They showed up on time and worked all day, barely taking breaks. And so far, and we’ve had a few rainy days, we have had no water in our basement. I would not hesitate to recommend Woodford Brothers."

If the limewash has fully dried—which happens after about five days—you’ll need to use a diluted muriatic acid mixture to remove it. If there are multiple coats of limewash, you may need to apply the acid mixture several times to fully remove it from the brick.

Chimney mortar typically lasts 20 to 30 years, depending on its quality, local weather conditions, and maintenance. Over time, exposure to moisture, freezing, and thawing cycles can cause mortar to deteriorate, leading to cracks and gaps. Regular inspections and timely repairs, such as repointing or tuckpointing, can extend the lifespan of chimney mortar by ensuring the structure's integrity.
