The job was done at the appointed time, done quickly, done safely and in the best standards of the trade. The gentlemen that did the job were friendly, respectful, and receptive to my questions, and knowledgable in their answers. They were flexible in identifying work that did or did not need to be done. The initial estimate was a broad "time and materials" estimate. What might be called a "ballpark" estimate. The final price was at the lowest price of the estimate. I am very pleased !! "I called for a free estimate, Justin came promtly and inspected the chimey. He showed me pictures of the problems and spelled out all the options. I explained to him that my cellar has floode due the problems and was anxious to get the repairs done. Justin quoted a price that was fair and much lower then any other estimates. To my surprise he said that he could do the job that day. He kept sending me pictures as the work progressed so I knew exactlywhat he was doing. He was professional and honest about what needed to be done. I was more then pleased with him and the company. I highly recommend .Chimneys are us."

"ALERT ??????? DO NOT HIRE SHAMROCK CHIMNEY We hired Shamrock to repair our chimney after it was identified as the source of a roof leak. The work was done improperly, and the leak continued. Two independent roofers later confirmed the poor workmanship. Shamrock agreed to return, but the follow-up visit was unprofessional and dismissive. The leak continued after additional rain, causing more interior damage. We were given conflicting explanations, missed appointments, and were ultimately told the issue wasn?t covered despite a ?10-year warranty.? Our refund request for the $1,600 we paid was denied, and we were told to stop contacting the company. We had to pay other professionals to fix what should have been done correctly the first time. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Shamrock."

"They showed up perfectly on time, which was great. However, after the inspection, they just said that a flue tile was cracked and the whole thing needed to be re-lined and did not touch on the fact that the crown was cracked and needed repair, which I knew from a recent home inspection. They asked if I wanted a quote to have taken care of, to which I replied definitely as I want to use this chimney, which is why I was having it looked at. I never received that quote. I also requested to have a chimney cap installed on both chimneys. When I looked at the chimneys after they left, they put a cap over one flue opening on each chimney, leaving an open flue on each chimney, which completely defeats the purpose of paying to have a cap installed. After calling and relaying my frustration, I was told that I would receive a call back. I did not receive this call, so I followed up the next day, to which I was promised Tom would call me that evening. I never received any call and was never followed up with. In summary, I paid over $400 for an inspection that told me nothing and two chimney caps that over cover one of two openings on each chimney, along with no information on the cost or process to repair the problem that they indicated."

"My chimney began to show some water intrusion. I contacted a well known chimney mason who suggested very over the top repairs which I did not feel were warranted. I called Brian Westman at Canterbury Chimney Sweeps to get his take on the issue. Brian came out and suggested a simple and direct repair which made complete sense, and was not over the top regarding the cost. Brian's estimate was well within the realm of fairness, honesty and affordability. Brian completed the repairs and the water intrusion issue was brought to an end. I plan on having Brian come and inspect the chimney every couple of years to make sure it is in top condition. Also, the phone contact with his office was simple, direct and an overall pleasant experience. I highly recommend Canterbury Chimney Sweeps. Frederick C."
