SMOKEY THE CHIMNEY SWEEP

After trying 2 other chimney sweeps with no replies I finally tried Smokey. Smokey (John) replied back right away and we were able to set an appointment soon after. John checked our chimney and determined it was in good shape and in no need of repairs or cleaning. John was very professional, knowledgeable and personable. I was very pleased and would recommend his services.

Smokey(John) and his helper, Josh, arrived on time and began taking any removable pieces from the wood insert that would lessen its weight. They got the insert out of the house and into their truck and began to sweep and clean the fireplace of more than 30 years of soot. Very little of it needed to be cleansed up around the fireplace. A very neat job! I asked Smokey if they could put a chimney cap on the top of the chimney and were told absolutely. Smokey was very professional and knew what he was doing. I am very pleased with the results. His price was by far the cheapest we could find and he didn't charge for the cap installation. His price was $150, I gave him $200. It's nice to find people who take pride in their work and do what they say they will! I would absolutely recommend him.

I have been working with John the owner for over 20 years. He always provides and honest and reasonable estimate and have used his services several times in the past. He cleaned the chimney and replaced the pipe from the gas hot water heater to the chimney to bring it up to code when I was selling my home. He did a great job. I highly recommend him.

He did a great job. He was just outstanding. He is very reliable very honest. I left him alone in the house we reviewed what needed to be done and he did exactly what we discussed. He has a good moral character and he's a good workmen.

John was prompt in returning phone call and the house visit was scheduled the same day. I was pleasantly surprised that John was able to perform the work during the initial visit, I had expected that the repair would require more time or material. Too early to know if the repairs were effective but the caulking looks neat, and there was no gutter or roof damage. He took time to assess the likely source of the leak. Quality of work rating could be revised up once I know the leaks have been fixed.

We have been using Smokey the Chimney Sweep service for about four years. He is always on time and does a great job. He scrapes the build up first, then brushes the whole chimney.
