Magnolia Home Remodeling GroupWe worked with Chris from Magnolia on a second floor remodel and were extremely happy with the process and results. The reno included demolition, framing for new roofline and dormers, roof and gutters, siding, new master bathroom, master closet, laundry space, wood floor and stairs, doors, millwork, tiling, masonry for a chimney extension, windows, and central air system. Chris is a great guy, very easy to work with it, trustworthy, and responsive. He hires skilled subcontractors and kept the reno moving at a good pace. There were no surprises with either the budget or scope of work. Magnolia made our dreams come true with this reno and we would definitely recommend them for your job.- Beth H.

Gaudioso ContractingWent well. My family lived in the house during the 4+ month reno and the crew were always clean, respectful and kind. They would wipe down the floor protectors 1x per week and upon request. Project manager Luis took feedback on progress of job and always reacted/corrected promptly. Was visible on site every 2-3 days, but would always show up at the appointed time upon request and with helpful constructive solutions, many at no additional cost to me. Would never slam me with requests for last minute material needs where I would need to make a decision without reasonable notice. I was my own project manager for everything but the bathrooms, where I had a designer, and Luis could speak in both designer language and in 'normal person without construction experience' language at all times without dumbing things down. Would always explain the 'why' when he would explain the construction possibilities. They did parquet throughout the top floor in keeping with the rest of the 1920s townhouse that looks great. Across the board everyone exhibits great care in the final work product. Owner Anthony also straightforward and clear in all communication and office manager Allison helpful and attentive.- Alesa N.

JBL HOME IMPROVEMENTS INCThis is our second time using JBL home improvement. Dave and the JBL crew are excellent people to work with. They started work right away and Dave kept us informed of possible delays with furnishings due to the Pandemic. He always followed up with the cabinet and granite manufacturers and kept us informed of their progress. The crew was excellent and clean. Everyday they left all work areas clean. They always gave us options and opinions for furnishing placement. We are looking forward to using JBL for our future home renovations.- Joseph C.

He's also a straight shooter with you on what to do with larger problems to ensure you're using your money properly on how to fix them, which I can appreciate in someone who is thinking more of the well-being of the person/family and their future at that home. I contacted Angie's List because we noticed a leak from the first-floor bathroom down to the back room in the basement. An old pipe had split. Pasquale responded right away and came to the house to inspect the situation and provide a free estimate. He showed up when he said. When he showed up he took his time and correctly diagnosed the situation. My wife and I decided to go with him because he came across as honest and trustworthy. We are so glad we went with him. He replaced the broken pipe, the tiles, and the toilet. He will undoubtedly be taking care of another plumbing job in my home in the very near future. As always, it went very well. A message left with the home office was answered quickly and an appointment made to review various options. The sink was put on order and the job was completed in less than 1 week. Tim was polite, professional, precise with both the measurements and the installation of the new sink and willingly explained each step in the process. Mako has been my go-to plumbing company for many years. I have always been happy with both their professionalism and quality of work. It feels great to have somebody I can call to come out and fix things, and I don't feel taken advantage of or talked down to. Great guys. With the radiator system, I'd had people out twice to fix it, but it didn't stay fixed for more than a week. Big Apple came out, found the real problem, replaced a part, and bingo: wonderful heat for the last month! Today I showed them the strange and shoddy previous fix on a faucet (we are renters, and there are LOTS of "fixes" like this in this apartment unfortunately)- Ken said we should replace it with a thing that actually works, and we did. glorious. thanks Big Apple!

Within hours of submitting a request for a quote, Jayson reached out to me personally, and went over a number of flexible estimate options for my new shower. Within a week, a professional was scheduled, and in my house, mask-on, installing our brand new shower. IR was extremely communicative, easy to work with, flexible, and professional. The shower looks incredible, and I will absolutely be giving them another call when it comes time to do our next bathroom!

They inspected their work and waited until everything was running properly before they left. They gave me tips on how to preserve my pipes in cold weather. That was a nice bonus!
