Called on a Friday after bathroom leaked (probably, toilet) down to the floor below. Said that we had just moved in and the previous owner had used Aladdin for their plumbing. Office personnel was great, found my building, and scheduled follow up for the following Monday 11-1-- definitely communicated to me that this was a busy week and that this was the best they could do-- so I was grateful for the quick turn-around. Monday work day came and went, but no one showed. I called the office and was told that there was no documentation of my appointment-- in fact, no documentation of my call (or admission that we had spoken). Would have been happy to reschedule (even maybe for the next available appointment 10 days hence) if some reason had been offered, but without even a record of our conversation, I had to decline. I definitely want a plumbing company that at least that has better record-keeping so that someone shows up...

I can't say enough about Aladdin Plumbing. The workers are well-trained, efficient and thorough. And they're nice!! They handle plumbing issues in our eight-unit co-op and we won't let anyone but Aladdin anywhere near our furance.

It went very well. The plumber (Larry) worked diligently and patiently to correct everything. He seemed thoroughly knowledgeable and professional. The faucet works perfectly (and looks gorgeous). I can't comment on how reasonable the cost was, because I have nothing to compare it with. I have one suggestion: It would be helpful if the cost of each part was specified instead of all the parts being combined in one lump sum.

Very bad customer service. Performed a job once and scheduled another appoitmwnt to finish up the job and basically never showed!!! Mike would also never return my calls! Must have called everyday for weeks. So bad. At least a coutesy call explaining the situation!!!!

I gave the plumber the toilet, seat and an installation kit that included the seal and specialized bolts with caps. After he left we saw that he had used other bolts, which were sticking high up from the base, uncapped. We called and demanded that he come back. He had taken the installation kit with him, still in the box, unused and used his own seal which he charged us for. He cut down and added the caps to the bolts that he had used. This was unprofessional bordering on dishonest.

Our water heater went out this weekend. I called about 10 different plumbers. Mike from Aladdin found time to squeeze us in on a Saturday night. He understood, diagnosed, and fixed the issue really promptly and courteously. Very responsive on the phone and very friendly and helpful. Also fixed a couple other small things in our basement while he was here. Overall, I really recommend. Great service.

The repair person showed up a few minutes early and was very professional. He fixed the system for ththe bminimum charge and I am very pleased by the whole experience.

The work took about a week, removing the old oil tank and putting in new pipes and a new gas furnace & water heater. I highly recommend them for any job.

Michael Bruno is really knowledgeable and proficient. He is truly an expert in identifying the problem and repairing it. If no one can identify what's wrong, Mr. Bruno probably can. I have found this to be the case on a number of occasions. The only problem is that he is so good that he is very busy. He also has excellent customer relations skills.

Aladdin replaced all the gas lines feeding our water heater and furnace. Then they went to bat for us with the city to get the inspection done quickly so our heat and hot water could be turned back on.

The plumbing work was excellent and fast, but Aladdin also went to bat for us by working with National Grid to get our gas turned back on more quickly.

The men from Aladdin were professional and they did the inspection. It was quite a while ago so I honestly forget what it cost. I put $300.00 in the cost section of this review because it was mandatory to enter some cost. In my memory, it seemed like they charged too much money. Because of that, I will always get estimates from several companies before I call them. They actually did work for me previously and I thought the same thing - that they over price jobs. On the plus side, at least the work was satisfactory.

Several plumbers have tried to fix our boiler in the past. Some have been unsuccessful and charged us a lot, others have been unsuccessful and didn't charge that much. Mike at Aladdin was successful and didn't charge much. He came back several times as we tried to figure out what was going on and went over the options clearly afterwards. The only place where I give them low grades was on responsiveness. Once we did identify the leak, it took a lot of calls from me to find out the status of the replacement parts, and I ended up going to the hardware store next door to get a clamp that sealed the leak. However, Mike was great about troubleshooting everything else and was honest in going over what could be done and what couldn't and getting us the best cost for what was needed.

It was well done and complete, as expected. We were happy with the job and results.

The guy refused to give me an estimate and shouted "ARE YOU SERIOUS??" when I am asked for one. I called the office to complain, they said that that is the way they do business. I am not calling them again.

They came promptly, and the guy spent a long time looking for the source of a leak from the kitchen to the basement. He couldn't fix it since it came from the dishwasher. They are expensive-- they charge $175 just to come to your house-- so I had to pay even though he couldn't fix the problem. But they told me that up front, so I wasn't surprised. I've used them a couple of times, and they do good work, but they are not cheap.

Water was leaking from the plumbing fixture behind my toilet. After I called Aladdin on a Friday afternoon, Jerry arrived later that day, well within the time range I had been given. He removed the toilet, saw what needed to be done, and then walked to a nearby hardware store to purchase the proper gasket. When he returned, he replaced the leaking gasket, put the toilet back in place, and carefully applied plaster of paris around the base. Jerry works very neatly, and he cleans up what little mess he creates. Additionally, he's a heck of a nice guy.

very professional. walked me through what he was doing and why he was doing it - as a new home owner I especially appreciate this as it helps me learn more about my house. very personable yet still professional. would definitely use them again for the more complicated job as they are a bit expensive but I feel i can trust them to get tot he root cause and solve problems correctly.

Michael Bruno the plumber came over, put a temp probe on the hot water line to see if it was hot (oooo technology) and stared at the water heater for an hour. I had taken off the outer panel for him before he came over to make it easier for him. He did flip the on/off on switch a number of times and turned the knob to raise or lower the temp. Great, thanks, I did that myself. When I asked if he knew what the problem was he said, "no". I asked if he knew what part was malfunctioning and no joke, he said, "I'm not a parts guy." I asked because I saw that he hadn't opened the control board box or anything else. In the manual (which he requested and wouldn't schedule an appt without) there is a whole trouble shooting page with an alogorithm to diagnose the issue. He didn't follow any of these steps. Why did he ask for it if he didn't bother to read it? He left without charging me which was nice but I'm not sure if I would have paid him anyway. He has no business working on this type of heating unit (wall hung tankless heater) and should have said he has no experience with them, which was blatantly obvious. He was like a deer in headlights. I couldn't contact him for almost 2 weeks because of an "email problem" (he uses gmail and I had no problems as I have a gmail account too), even though I left messages with the company's secretary. He finally responded that he would schedule an appt, which of course he never did. | |Very unprofessional, very lazy, and doesn't know ANYTHING about plumbing, apparently. Do not use this company. Waste of time. This plumber and his company have an excuse for everything, better not to get involved with them in the first place. The day (a Wednesday, I think) I gave up on this fake-plumbing business Icalled Petri Plumbing & Heating. They had an appointment for me by Friday and fixed it the same day for a reasonable rate and by an experienced plumber.

What a wonderful person. He came within the window time. He was courteous and fixed my sink in no time. Nice guy. I will call them again!

Responsive and took the time to review the concerns on boiler installation.

We had a new gas range installed a few days ago and the installer said the gas valve probably needed to be replaced. I made an appointment with Aladdin Plumbing. Jerry arrived promptly and on time, assessed the problem, replaced the valve, checked to make sure the oven was working, all within a span of about 30 minutes.

When I first met Erik, I was impressed by his professionalism. He explained all that had to be done and also worked with me to figure out a way to get a new pipe run through the walls. Some of the work was unforeseen and he provided an estimate and explained why it had to be done. Rather than simply completing the additional work required, he first asked to make sure I agreed to the additional work required. He always returned my calls, answered any questions I had and, when I indicated I was displeased with some work, immediately called to discuss the issues. The plumbing and installation work progressed and was completed without problems. The work was done in a timely manner. Unfortunately, after completion of the job, one of the toilets started leaking water from the base. Apparently the caulk and sealant had come apart from the toilet base. I called Erik and he immediately sent workers over to repair the leak. This time, the workers were there for about 15 minutes and when I came back into the room and they were gone. I called Erik and apparently they had finished and just left. They hadn't told me they were leaving, and hadn't explained what had happened and what they had done to fix it. While they did fix the leak, I was very disappointed at the sloppy cosmetic job - they didn't wipe up the caulk after putting it down, there were little bits of leftover caulk stuck to the bathroom tile and scuff marks on the white wall and baseboard. After the fact, I noticed that all the sealant around the base of the toilet hadn't been wiped down at all. Both their first installation of the toilets as well as the fix were both done very sloppily. I very much liked Erik, but was disappointed in the cosmetic quality of the work on the toilets. Due to the fact that Erik responded so quickly to my complaints, I believe that I would use them again. Since I am aware of the problems, I will make sure to address them immediately.

The main office was called on Saturday and were given quotes on service call. We waited until Monday since the price was more reasonable and we were told someone would be available then. When we called we were told the next appointment was Tuesday in the afternoon. However, they told us they would call if an opening was available Monday afternoon. About an hour later we were called to say someone would be by between 2-4. They called again @ 1:30 to inform us the plumber was en route. He showed up at about 2:05! I was pleasantly surprised. He went right to work and found the problem quickly. He was in the apartment for a total of about 45 minutes, fixed one other minor problem event though we hadn't expressed needing it. He was pleasant about it and told us to make sure when calling we give more details. The price was as stated with parts expense. I would definitely use them again!
