"Mario explained everything he was going to to, and what each piece of equipment was used for. Example the power carpet rake. We had a two National Franchise companies clean the whole house carpets over the past 7 years and they said power rake was not needed. Mario proved power rake is REQUIRED to properly deep clean the carpetâ s. Outstanding customer service and very willing to answer any questions in regards to the service provided. As senior citizens this is a great company to hire."

"Job done well. Hired Voda for duct work. We had a terrible mice problem , even in our HVac duct vents. The Voda representative went to each vent with me to see the problem before doing a deep vacuum cleaning. Dryer vents cleaned well too. Very glad I hired them."

"Making the first phone call was hard for me. I've always been an obsessive compulsive perfectionist who cleaned her own house until the last few years. Now I'm not able to & the sweet girl that I had just had surgery, plus she works practically full time & is a student. She didn't have the time to give that I really needed. That meant finding someone I didn't know. Yikes! I went to Angie's List for the first time & read all the reviews & decided on Eco Clean. Everything after the hello on the other end of the line went great. I was a nervous wreck for many reasons but Krista's voice on the other end was so reassuring. We made the date, they showed up on time & the rest is history. Things went amazingly well. The two of them, Krista & Al went above & beyond even what I expected but what I'd hoped for. In my husband's words they were: Impressive, High Standards, Efficient. Coming from an old Navy man who never comments on anything house related that's pretty high praise. As for me I feel like a ginormous weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I'm thankful that I got it right when I made that call. My house is sparkling because of their attention to details & I love the products they use, very high quality. They didn't just dust around things, they moved things & dusted the things too! I did have them do a heavy cleaning is what I think they call it because my house needed a heavy cleaning but it was so totally worth it. This obsessive, compulsive, perfectionist, is extremely happy with the job that Eco Clean has done & I'm looking forward to an every two week relationship with Krista & Al! They have helped give me a new outlook on things of my house!!!"

Floor Cleaning and Waxing questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on floor type, area size, and additional services like waxing or sealing.

Polishing a concrete floor isn’t as expensive as it sounds—it’s actually one of the more budget-friendly upscale flooring options out there. On average, it costs $4,500, with most projects falling between $1,000 and $8,000 . When you’re working with an existing slab of concrete, you skip material costs entirely, so it’s even more affordable. If you want a glossy, durable floor without paying hardwood or tile prices, polished concrete delivers serious shine without the sticker shock.

Steam mops can be a better option than traditional mops because the steam can lift stubborn dirt from floors without using chemicals, and it also kills bacteria and dust mites. However, steam mops have drawbacks: they are more expensive, require an electrical outlet, and are not suitable for all flooring types, such as laminate or hardwood, which can be damaged by the steam.

Regular mopping can also sanitize floors effectively when done with the right cleaning products and techniques, though it may require more effort. The main advantage of a traditional mop is its versatility, as it can be used on any type of flooring. Ultimately, the best choice depends on your floor type, budget, and cleaning preferences.

You can embrace minimalism when it comes to cleaning vinyl plank flooring. Water or diluted vinegar both work great for mopping and are much better options than some other cleaners that can damage the protective coating on these floors. Ammonia or solvent-based polishes can both break down the top layer. Also, avoid “mop-and-shine” cleaners, which tend to leave behind residue on vinyl plank floors.

Each flooring material has its own maintenance requirements and cleaning techniques. For example, hardwood floors may require occasional refinishing and specialized cleaning products, while vinyl and laminate are easy to clean with regular sweeping and mopping. Concrete and natural stone, on the other hand, may need periodic sealing to maintain their appearance and durability. Follow manufacturer recommendations and utilize appropriate cleaning methods to preserve the integrity of your chosen flooring material.
