"I didn't have any complaints and I will use them again for any concrete works. Free passes. Antonio, the owner was always on site, working as well and I appreciate that. They were professional. Very competitive work."

"My wife and I are absolutely delighted with the work performed by Noriega Masonry. Yes, we did have a delay in receiving word from Jesse, the owner, but it was well worth the wait (!) and Everardo was effective as our point man for any questions and arranging for when the work would take place. Helpful suggestions for anyone considering installing permanent concrete block planter, retaining, or free-standing walls: 1. Have a reputable engineer providing guidance and any plans used to file permits. 2. Have clear, documented hardscape plans to share with your contractor. This mitigates any misunderstandings in what you expect of your contractor. Also take time to visualize your project, so that you are comfortable with this major undertaking. 3. Determine what, if any, part of the project you will perform (In my case, I acted as my own prime contractor), performing: a) my own hardscape design and rebar placement down to the block b) preparing plans, while interacting with an engineering service team that furnished diagrams and load calculations that I personally submitted to County to acquire permits; c) renting equipment, cutting and framing trenches, while removing excess dirt with the assistance of a dump truck service; d) framing foundations and laying Type 2 gravel beds; e) designing purchasing 1 ton of 20 foot length iron and iron assemblies from a local fabricator (with certifications); f) contracting with a plumbing service to install underground gas lines to our outdoor fireplace and BBQ area; g personally assembling the iron reinforcement, meeting County permit requirements; and h) contracting directly with the concrete provider and pump service to pour foundations and later grout blocks The cost for Noriega Masonry performing my portion of the work would have been understandably more expensive, but I'd expect that their pricing would be reasonable for anyone requiring a turnkey project. I elected to use my knowledge, skills and time to build more sweat equity into my home, using Noriega to effectively fill in an important void."
"Our landscaping project manager Tom from Modern Landscaping suggested Artcon. They listened to what we wanted done and gave us what we consider a fair price. They showed up on time and completed the work on time and as promised. They were responsive to our calls and were always available to talk with us which was important as this was a second home. They were able to make some adjustments andi changes we requested with very little hassle. The stamped concrete is beautiful and the whole patio and walkway look fantastic. Overall we are happy with the results and the process and would use them again for future projects. "
"Peter arrived and noted I did not need a new door only had to cut 1/8 inch off the two doors and everything would work fine - he was able to do this in 2 hrs work - the door is better than the day I purchased it 10 years ago. While fixing the door he noted my kitchen solar screen attachment had been placed incorrectly and for not extra charge he fixed that too. - I found him very personal and professional - his company has a strong reputation for doing solid work I can now understand why. Highly recommend."
"The cover looks great, nice material, alumawood is very nice and sturdy and no painting to do forever vs a wood patio that you have to maintain constantly, this was the third one I had this company build for me on my new home. Sharon and Valerie were great to work with, very pleasant and kept me in the loop as to day of installation. Highly recommend this company if you are looking for a solid patio cover that you don't have to paint ever and will with stand over 100 mph winds. The price was very reasonable and it included the concrete stump and installation of the concrete slab.."
"called for free quote . came out two days later quoted best price . liked that they used elite wood which is similar to aluma wood but is locally made . they came out two days later and poured concrete . the following week they put up the patio cover it took about a day. they were neat timely and did a good job , I couldn't be happier. "
"Everything went really well. The crew and materials arrived around 8:30 am on Monday and worked until very late. And did the same for the next 2 days. It took a total of 3 very long days to complete. They were fully prepared for the job and were very precise with laying the tiles. They cleaned up all of the debris outside where they set up to cut the tiles, moved all furniture back, reset the toilets and re-connected the appliances in the estimated time frame I was given. I have never been so impressed with work I've had done in the past. They are true artisans of their trade. The attention to detail and work ethic would be a tough act for their competitors to follow, in my opion."
"Melby did a wonderful & professional job and I was pleasantly surprised not only with the quality of his work, but his knowledge, skills and versatilty. We gave him challenging work and he completed on schedule and did not disappoint. He is trustworthy , dependent and friendly. He pays attention to details and takes pride in his work which a appreciate so much in a Contractor. I was so impressed with the flooring installation. He laid it so beautifully (patterns, cuts) and we get so many compliments on the quality of his work. I will of course hire him again and refer him to others. He is just terrific and I couldn't be more pleased!"
Welding is the process of using extreme heat—and, sometimes, pressure—to attach two pieces of metal. In contrast, metal fabrication is a more involved process that can include welding, sheet metal work, bending, and other forms of metal manipulation. Metal fabrication is a large-scale project that may or may not involve welding, while welding is more often a step in larger fabrication projects.
To maintain custom or fabricated metal structures and extend their lifespan and appearance, perform regular cleaning, apply rust prevention treatments, and use protective coatings.
While a high-speed circular saw will cut through metal, and even cut through multiple sheets at once, the fast-spinning saw blades create a lot of heat. This heat can damage paint and other protective coatings, leading to serious problems like rust over time. The cost to paint a metal roof again to avoid this damage is typically an additional $0.50 to $1 per square foot.
Welders use a variety of methods in their trade. Different types of welding are better suited for different purposes and contexts. For example, stick welding is a versatile form suitable for most metals and alloys.
The most common types of welding include:
Stick welding: $100–$1,000
Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding: $250 and up
Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding: $250 and up
Gas welding: $150 and up
Forge welding: $15–$25 per hour
There are a few things you can ask welders before you hire them to get an idea of their experience and ability levels:
Are you licensed and certified?
How long have you been in the welding business?
Do you commonly do the type of welding I need?
Do you offer any kind of warranty for your work?
Do you charge by the hour or by the project?
How long do you expect my welding project to take?
What steps do you take to minimize errors in your work?
