"Our landscaping project manager Tom from Modern Landscaping suggested Artcon. They listened to what we wanted done and gave us what we consider a fair price. They showed up on time and completed the work on time and as promised. They were responsive to our calls and were always available to talk with us which was important as this was a second home. They were able to make some adjustments andi changes we requested with very little hassle. The stamped concrete is beautiful and the whole patio and walkway look fantastic. Overall we are happy with the results and the process and would use them again for future projects.

"Peter arrived and noted I did not need a new door only had to cut 1/8 inch off the two doors and everything would work fine - he was able to do this in 2 hrs work - the door is better than the day I purchased it 10 years ago. While fixing the door he noted my kitchen solar screen attachment had been placed incorrectly and for not extra charge he fixed that too. - I found him very personal and professional - his company has a strong reputation for doing solid work I can now understand why. Highly recommend."

"They were polite, courteous and prompt. Very good work. Miguel Cortes (the owner) was very polite and helpful. 6 months ago my carpet was rippling, and I called him and he came and looked at it, sent someone to fix it and didn't charge me! I would definitely recommend them. Everything was very nicely done and everything has held up since they were last at my home."

"First, the door looks great and Melby made sure it was working before he left. He was very particular about balancing and shimming the door. He cleaned up after his project. He was on time and charged what he said he would. We are happy to say he is our go to guy for this sort of stuff. We are about to do a very large tile project with him."

Concrete Cutting questions, answered by experts

Sawing your hot tub into more manageable chunks so it can be lifted easily into a truck takes several hours. Generally, 2.5 hours for smaller hot tubs and around 4 hours for larger ones with the help of one to two people. If money isn't a concern and you want to skip the physical labor, you can hire a pro to get the job done.

Your typical household tools will not cut a metal pipe. To cut a metal pipe, you’d need more specialized tools like a pipe cutter or circular saw. Do not attempt to use these tools without taking proper safety precautions and wearing safety gear. It’s usually safer to let a pro cut a metal pipe, especially if you’re not confident in your skills with a heavy-duty saw.

Cutting rectangular ductwork requires careful measurements and the right technique. Use a measuring tape and pencil to mark the cutting lines accurately. Tin snips are excellent for straight cuts on smaller ducts. For more extensive or thicker rectangular ducts, a reciprocating saw with a metal-cutting blade is effective.

Ensure the duct is well-supported and secure while cutting to prevent wobbling and maintain precision. After cutting, use a metal file to smooth any sharp edges, ensuring safety during installation.

It will likely take an experienced pro less than an hour to install a ground rod, which is another reason why letting them handle the job is such a good idea. Safety concerns aside, it would likely take you much longer to install a ground rod if you decided to take this one as a DIY job.

To maintain custom or fabricated metal structures and extend their lifespan and appearance, perform regular cleaning, apply rust prevention treatments, and use protective coatings.
