"I was having my kitchen remodeled. The day of install, the installer removed the old backsplash and was about to place the quartz on the damaged wall. I told them to stop and repair the damage wall. One of the guys told me that they don’t do repairs. I was in distress that I reached out to Angie’s list and found Premier Design. I called and Nick answered, he told me that he could get one of their best workers to fix the wall the next day on a Saturday. The next day, I met the Co-owner Pedro who was very professional and answered any questions that I may have about my contract. The drywaller finished the repair in a few hours. It looked beautiful. I was so pleased with the work."

Our Key Personnel have over 50 years of construction experience in residential, commercial and high-rise construction for a variety of clients including local and state governments. Tiburon Construction is dedicated to serving the needs of our clients in providing cost effective solutions to meet our clients varied needs.

"Firstly, the quality of the work seems fine. I was assured this company could handle the insurance issues confronting me and this turned out badly (0 insurance payments). To be fair, I suspect there was management turmoil and an effort to expand that affected my experience. The cost greatly exceeded the first verbal estimates greatly. Work was done prior to insurance adjusters having the opportunity to see the proposed repairs. The two biggest gripes I have is a claim that they lost 160 hours of labor they paid for, and the use of unauthorized "emergency" plumbing repairs. Anything like this needs authorization prior to work being done -I think they would agree-. This additional billing was presented at escrow close (the property was sold) and wound up being more than the equity in the home (Las Vegas). It was very hard for me to follow their billing methodology. In addition, the tub surround in the master bath needed repair. When the Project Manager personally inspected the patchwork he said he did not like how it turned out. He directed the repair of the rest of the surround and said, "it would be on him". I think I ended up paying for that because it was an undocumented conversation. Cost was over 34,000"

Call a foundation repair pro to replace a rotted support beam. Your contractor will likely install temporary support to the area while replacing the beam with new wood or steel. Load-bearing elements of your home—such as the horizontal beams that run along your floors, walls, roof, and ceilings—should be inspected by a trained structural engineer. Call these experts the moment you detect rot, water damage, or foundation issues in your home. 

While most house creaking is expected to some extent and under normal conditions, it's not a good idea to ignore new noises. If other problems accompany the creakiness, like cement cracks, wobbly or loose stair components, or moving trimwork, it's time to look into the potential for foundation trouble or other structural problems.

Signs of structural damage include foundation cracks, roof leaks, bouncy floors, crumbling concrete, and cracked or leaning chimneys. Structural damage can make itself apparent in various ways, and sometimes, there may not be obvious signs. Inspect your foundation and roof annually to stay ahead of potentially serious structural problems. 

There are a few options if you miss a stud. You can simply patch the hole with spackle, sand it down, repaint it, and then find the stud—essentially starting over. If you don’t want to do that, you can insert one of the more robust drywall anchor options and hang your item on that, but that will only work if the drywall is in excellent condition and the anchor is rated for the weight of the item you’re hanging on it. You may be able to cover the hole with the object itself once it’s mounted, but it’s still recommended to at least fill the hole to protect insulation and prevent vermin from entering.
