"I had a home warranty, an extra policy on my house, so I had to use the people that they provided. Other than their telephone answering, which takes forever, they were really good. I was always glad that I had that coverage. They had a person come out to confirm that my dryer was not broken and that it was the vent, and then I hired a provider to come and clean it. I had to pay the service charge for the technician to come out and check my dryer. When you try to call them you can never get through on the phone; they don't have enough telephone operators. I never like to do it online because I wanted to talk to somebody and find out who they were going to pick as my vendor, because one time in all of the times that I used them, they sent me a really, really novice plumber who messed up my sink. I think I had a broken garbage disposal or something that he didn't have the tools, his truck broke down on the way, he was very young and wet behind the years, and it was a company I never heard of. So whenever I needed plumbing or maintenance on appliances or something, I would just call them and say I wanna use that other named company. But they always do an excellent job. I would say a B overall only because of how hard it is to get in touch with them. For price, I shopped around before I renewed with them and they were very comparable to other companies and they didn't have a lot of exclusions, so I would say A. "A worker from SMRT ("Billy") showed up on the originally scheduled date (6/19) and, on looking at the deck, realized he didn't have all the right equipment for the job, so we rescheduled for the following week [comment--that was fine with me, because he was clearly intent on doing a thorough job]. A week later, Billy and Sam showed up on time and pitched right it. This wood had not had any care for many years, and showed it. As nails were popping up, they suggested--and I provided--deck screws, which they put in over the entire deck. The entire deck and the railings were sanded using a small hand power sander, and they applied a wood treatment that I provided for the job. Overall, the work required attention to detail and a lot of hard work. This was a hot day to begin with, and only got hotter as it went along. Afternoon temperatures were in the high 90's but these two guys never missed a beat. They worked essentially non-stop for more than the 4 hours we were entitled to by the "Deal," but they were determined to finish and leave a professional result. They cleaned up after themselves and disposed of all trash. They did a great job, and we ended up with a much-improved deck we can now actually use. Great guys, great job. "
