"Having ruled out failure of the ancient thermostat, Caesar Marti examined the furnace itself. There was significant damage to the venting system and extensive worrisome corrosion to the same. Additionally there was evidence of heater flames not going where they should and to corrosion and incipient failure to the heating unit per se. The old unit also lacked an automatic gas shutoff, so I elected, with his help and concurrence, to look into replacing the unit. Their prices for a new Trane replacement unit (and a 21st Century thermostat) were competitive and include replacing the venting for the unit through the roof (checked wholesale/retail prices online), so we are arranging for replacement of the unit next week, for which I'll submit a separate review.

Caesar was clear, helpful, professional, and personable. They accepted a $20 off "no heat" call coupon from their website and will credit the total cost of the visit against the cost of the mew furnace and its installation.

"We called at 8:30 on a Monday morning. Brenda called back within 15 minutes to confirm that Lino would be onsite within about an hour. Lino called 30 minutes later to indicate he was 15 minutes away.Lino arrived at 9:30 and took apart the drain and removed blockage (improper food in garbage disposal). All repaired in about 30 minutes (paid for one hour minimum). Great Service!

"The job that was performed went exceptionally well. I didn't have a pick-up truck to retrieve the water heater from a local store, he went over to the store and picked it up for me. He removed the old one and installed the new one. He also cleaned up the water that leaked over when emptying the old one. I called Affordable Plumbing in the morning and he was right over with in the hour. He hooked up my water line for the evaporative cooler while he was here. The cost was much less than what I had anticipated, a whole lot less. I'm satisfied and thankful. He's upfront with cost and no hidden fees. The base was laid to perfection and each block is continually checked for plumb once placed.  Leo makes sure everything is done correctly.  He periodically cleans his tools and the surrounding area.
