An entire pantry renovation having it enlarged with all new shelving. Duct work revamped with new registers. Wall mounting of TV. Paint, trim, electrical redone. A large beam added to the ceiling. Large project done with great attention to detail. We are extremely happy with all the work done so far. "Simply outstanding.  The price rating is slightly lower than an A simply because they appear to be the most expensive; however, you get what you pay for.  We interviewed 5+ contractors for the repair job.  Each presented different level of price/product/recommendations on what was needed to repair the original stucco to make it last for 20+ years.  A somewhat complicated solution to fix a crack down the entire side of the home needed to be installed along with some serious freeze/thaw repair on all the parapits.  Work was outstanding and the super + crew assigned to the job was easy to work with.  I watched in the beginning to make sure they were doing what was promised, then gained confidence and quit watching the work.  They are at the top end of the price scale, but I am confident you get everything you pay for with a top quality job.   Having experience with many contractors on upgrades and repairs, these guys are the best contractor I used in the past 10 years in Albuquerque.

"Felipe and his crew did a large project for me (back porch) and myriad smaller items to repair our new home. Short version: I'll definitely be using them again and recommending them, but you need to be engaged. They are not a set-and-forget crew. In general, the quality of the work is high. The porch is exactly as we imagined it and we're quite happy. The only issues I have with some of the work is the fit and finish. Roofing nails missing the joists weren't redone, so now there are nails hanging into my porch. The ramset nails they used to attach the base plate to the concrete pad had some kind of wax/rubber around them which wasn't completely removed prior to painting, so there are weird nubs sticking up on the base plate. Some of the screws on door moulding weren't puttied over. The biggest issue I had with them was communication and scheduling. Felipe forgot a few parts of the project and things got dropped a few times. It worked out because I was paying close attention, but I think he may just have too much going on so things will fall between the cracks. Scheduling was a regular issue. Our project took place right outside of our bedroom, so we wanted to know the night before if they would be there. It was about 50/50 whether they'd give us that heads up. They also broke an expensive high security lock and I was not reimbursed or discounted. On the scale of the project, it was a rounding error in cost, but it's the principle of the matter on that one."

"When the people arrived for this stucco work, I discovered that unknowingly, I had used this company for another package special I previously purchased: "$1,499 for a General Contractor for a Week." As a result of this, I expected the same degree of professionalism and quality of work as I had received then. Unfortunately, according to the contractor,  the package didn't say what was meant: "$299 for 1 Day of Exterior Stucco/Plaster Repair or Installation!" I was told that it meant 8 hours of labor divided among the number of stucco workers. In this case that mean the contractor plus 2 workers, or approximately 2⅔ hours each. Because the stucco requires the initial coating, letting it dry, and returning for a finishing coat, that would mean approximately 1⅓ for each part of the process ... PER PERSON. I highlight that per person, because in no way did I receive the work of 3 people for those amounts of time. If I received the amount for just one person, I would say at least I received some measure of value. Unfortunately, I can not say that. The number of hairline and larger cracks that were "repaired" could not have taken even one person 2⅔ hours of their time.  I had asked this contractor to give me a bid for several other projects, which he gave, but after the stucco experience I decided not to use his services again. This in no way invalidates the high quality and expert craftsmanship I received from other work he has performed for me. I believe this particular offer and its mis-statement caused him a lot of unhappy customers, and that dissatisfaction was reflected in the work he performed for me, thus creating yet another unhappy customer.

I recieved a call from Albert today. It was very unprofessional. Rather than talking to me about what he can do to fix things, he started complaining to me and making excuses. He was blaming me for this negative report.

He was stellar as a general contractor but his stucco work isnt as great.

"Sergio arrived punctually and analyzed the materials he would need for the repairs. He went to a local near-by hardware store and purchased the necessary sheet rock, which I paid for as it was an extra item. In order to get at the damage, he had to pull off a large 4x4 section of peg-board that itself had been torn. We discussed what might be done to replace,the peg-board but made no decision at that time. I left him to do the work, but when I returned, he had removed the peg-board so carefully that it could be remounted and used again, over the now completely repaired and re plastered damage! He also had spied a crack in the garage ceiling that I had overlooked, and repaired it with tape at his own initiative! Impressive work! I would call upon D&R again for this kind of repair. They also do other kinds of construction work, such as replacing cracked sidewalk or worn driveways."
