"This was a difficult, unusual install project in my kitchen. Robert was very exacting with the work, cleaned up everyday, and was very nice to work with! I love the results!"

"They built a 360 sq.ft. sunroom addition to our house. They also did some landscaping, including a beautiful paver patio. (I don't think they generally do landscaping, but we were having a very difficult time getting our landscaper to show up for a retaining wall project, so David Hunter offered to step in, and he not only got the landscaper to finish, but also did other landscaping we wanted--demonstrating dedication to customer satisfaction). Everything turned out exactly as we ordered, yet somehow it all seems even nicer than we originally imagined. They always showed up as scheduled, and David always answered or promptly returned phone calls and text messages. They also gladly accomodated several requests for additional features as the projects progressed and kept us updated. This is a "get it done and done right" company. Big thank you to the entire crew. Don W."

"They got the job done right and clean. The price was way more than what it should?ve cost. Cost me an arm and a leg. They stay on you like leeches, you?ll have multiple sales men coming to your house. Crazy operation."

"This team was amazing to work with. Built interior wall and closet, moved electrical and did all the finishing work. Great communication throughout the process and listened to concerns and made adjustments. Would definitely recommend and will hire again for future projects."

"Contractor replaced a walk-in shower with one they picked out. Work was very professional, and they completed it in a reasonable time including the wallboard repair and floor tile replacement. Also rebuilt back step risers that were starting to rot out. They were good to work with."

Tub Shower Conversion questions, answered by experts

Medicare does not typically cover the cost of a walk-in shower. The federal health insurance program considers a walk-in shower to be a home alteration rather than a medical necessity, even though walk-in showers would assist many people who are eligible for Medicare. Medicare Advantage Plans and Medicaid are more likely to cover the cost of a walk-in shower. It’s not a guarantee, even with a letter from a physician, and if reimbursement is authorized, it usually comes after the individual pays the upfront installation fee.

Deciding between using a shower pan or tile will likely come down to the shower’s design. You can learn how to install a shower pan liner, but it has a standard look similar to most other showers, though there is some flexibility for material and color choices. Tile, on the other hand, can be customized and is set directly into the shower base. However, a shower tile floor is more difficult to install than a shower pan.

Whether you should buy a shower stall or build a shower depends on your needs, budget, and overall shower design preferences. Prefabricated shower stalls are less expensive to buy and install than custom showers, but they come in limited styles, colors, and sizes. If you have a unique or specific design in mind or special requirements like accessibility features, hire a professional shower contractor. Custom showers installed by a pro can also last longer than prefabricated shower stalls.

The waterproof membrane between the tiles and the wall backing in your shower area prevents water from seeping into your home's foundational structures and supports. Do not skip adding a waterproof membrane beneath the tiling in your bathroom.

Shower niches can be placed anywhere they will be most accessible for those in the shower. A shower niche should be close enough to the showerhead that it’s convenient to grab products, but not so close that it’s in the direct path of the water. You can also consider the overall shower design and favor symmetry, integrate the niche with the tile design, or hire a bathroom remodeling contractor to help you decide.
