"This is the second interior painting project I have contracted Harald to perform. And just as with the first job he performed a few weeks ago he again completed this new job in an excellent fashion. He was prompt, professional, and friendly and my wife and I are 100% satisfied with his excellent work product. I highly recommend Harald to anyone seeking a reliable and conscientious craftsman for their paining project. I look forward to contracting with Harald in the future for any other painting projects and would not look elsewhere to hire a painter"

Customers say: True professional

"I'm totally satisfied with every aspect of the painting jobs that they did on my home. They painted/refinished both the interior and exterior. Lots of attributes here: on time, professional, solid teamwork, efficient, thorough, friendly, high quality materials, cleaned up well. Darn near perfect, actually. I have no hesitation in recommending them."

"Joseph and his team painted my iron gates that were rusting, repaired a brick wall and removed hard water stains building up from my sprinkler system. I also have him on the schedule to restain some doors and cabinet inside my house as well as outside stucco repair. They are all very nice, punctual, hard workers, and efficient. I highly recommend this company!"

"Omiga Construction was a great choice for my project! They replaced wood siding with synthetic stucco, painted trim and soffits, and replaced light fixtures for me. Communication with me was great through each phase of the process, from lath, t brown coat, color coat, painting and cleaning. The owner Maria, the Project Manager Misael, and the crew teams did excellent work, especially Junior and Elijah. Misael and Junior kept me posted on the project and Misael followed up with me through each decision point. By the end of the project, they felt like family. I recommend this company highly"

"Saul's attitude and professionalism can only be described as excellent. His employees are equally so. Lorenzo and Roman did an excellent job re-roofing a workshop. They removed the old material and applied the new roof and cleaned up completely in one day."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Stains penetrate wood best when it's cool and dry, so you want to avoid moisture. If the wood is wet upon application, or if it rains before the stain dries, the water will soak into the wood and displace the staining solution. This leads to a flaky and blotchy look, which is the opposite of a sumptuous even coat. Once the stain has fully cured, after about 3 days, rain shouldn’t cause you any problems.

You’ll need to wait until the surface is completely dry, which can take anywhere from 24 to 48 hours under optimal conditions. The waiting period depends on several factors, including the type of siding and the weather conditions. Trying to paint before the surface is completely dry can trap moisture under the paint, leading to bubbling, blistering, and mold growth.

No, it is not okay to paint over rotted wood. Painting over rotted wood will not address the underlying issue and can trap moisture, leading to further decay. Properly addressing the rotted wood by removing and replacing or repairing the damaged areas is necessary before you can even consider painting.

It’s best to use an exterior latex acrylic paint to promote maximum adhesion to composite decking. This flexible paint type can better cope with the natural expansion and contraction that can occur with composite deck boards. Oil-based paints won’t adhere as effectively and are more likely to crack and peel as the boards flex. Testing whether your chosen paint will stick on an inconspicuous section or a spare board is a good idea.

Choosing the right product involves understanding deck material, desired finish, and local weather conditions. Opt for high-quality, weatherproof formulations ensuring long-term durability and appearance retention.
