"Hired Neli for a virtual repair of our Whirlpool washer. Tom was VERY knowledgeable, friendly and professional. We came up with a solid diagnosis of my issue and the replacement parts required. Tom advised me to consider the value of repairing, parts costs and time required, vs. a new purchase and the effort to repair was not going to be simple. We chatted about the pros/cons a lot. They were extremely diligent and cleaned everything after they were done. Unfortunately one of the units started to act funny the next day but Juan made it back out and made sure everything was working perfect before he left. When the technician first came to inspect the unit, they claimed to have done a full diagnostic and gave us a final quote of around $1,000 (after tax). We agreed, thinking everything had been properly assessed. But when they came back to do the actual repair, the story completely changed. They suddenly “discovered” that the fridge door wouldn’t close properly and said we would need to replace the entire door — for several thousand dollars! After we refused that ridiculous suggestion, they said they could “repair” the door instead, but only if we paid an extra $850. At that point, with the refrigerator already taken apart, we had no real choice but to accept. This whole process felt misleading and unfair. If the technician really did a full inspection, how did such a major issue appear only later? It seemed like a classic case of bait-and-switch pricing — quoting one number and then inflating the cost after we had already committed. We expected professionalism and transparency, especially since RJ Appliances is associated with Miele service. Instead, we were left feeling pressured, overcharged, and deceived. ⚠️ Warning to others: Be extremely cautious before agreeing to any quote from this company. Make sure everything is documented and confirmed in writing before you proceed. Very disappointing experience — definitely would not recommend RJ Appliances NJ INC."
