"I personally spoke to (NAME REMOVED) and explained this is a service charge. I was detailed about the cost and the fact that I am charging him less because my technician was already in the area. He understood there will be a service charge. However if the unit needed repair this service charge would be subtracted from his overall cost of labor so he does not pay twice or loses the initial service charge and he agreed. When my technician arrived he refused to pay. To ensure there was no confrontation my technician left. Then when I called him he still refused to pay the service charge he agreed. In the beginning of the conversation I asked (NAME REMOVED) if he knew how to operate the unit and he got defensive and agitated with a response ITS NOT WORKING . He went on to let me know the heating is also not working and this is a brand new home. I sympathized with him and told him Im sorry to hear this. I prioritized him knowing I had a similar experience with my home. My technician was there within 1 hour of his call. A service charge is not labor. Its a home call charge, you have to pay for this charge and (NAME REMOVED) agreed."
