I have extremely high standards in terms of quality, price, customer focus and ethics. Furthermore, because of my professional background as a senior consultant for IBM, I am very detailed and fact oriented. All houses in my development had been built 15 years earlier with ducts for forced-air heating only. I brought 3 specialist contractors to evaluate installing AC using the existing ducts. Art Staloff (the owner of Alpine Refrigeration, founded 1972) was the only contractor whose assessment seemed credible and reasonably priced and then proved to be absolutely true. Over a 44 span, I’ve exclusively used Alpine for all my HVAC needs and most recently a whole-house generator. "If I could, I would give this horrible service provider a 0.0! I scheduled a plumbing appointment on a call, which was confirmed via multiple texts the day prior to the appt. Then had an employee go to the location during the 4 hour window they specified and wait for the plumber. On the day of the appt, 1 hour into the time window someone calls and says, sorry we’re not going to go because we only do residential plumbing. This was a surprise, as it was communicated to them that this was a business when I had set up the appt. So, I decided to speak with a manager. After spending over an hour of being bounced around from one dept to another, asking for a manager, they never connected me to one and their dispatcher had the audacity to say “sorry for your inconvenience, but you’ll just have to find someone else.” WOW! The hoops they make you jump through and the rudeness is not worth the hassle. I would definitely recommend you find a different plumbing pro for your project!"

"I had an emergency plumbing situation and Jamie was absolutely brilliant. He came promptly within an hour of submitting my request and it was after hours. He was immediately able to identify the issue and suggest a corrective action. Jamie waited patiently as we spent time deciding if we wanted to follow his recommendation. All of my valves we leaking around the apartment so it was a chaotic afternoon after work and Jaime stayed absolutely calm, patient, and professional. He helped control the issue and suggest a solution to help maintain the situation overnight then came back and finished the job. Very responsive with great service and workmanship.
