The problem was a clogged galvanized section of pipe, which he replaced with proper copper piping. He also found a small leak that I didn't even know about in the basement pipes. He replaced a crazy looking shower arm/head with something that now looks like it was installed by a professional. He checked the bathroom and kitchen sinks for any leaks and replaced a jiggling handle on a toilet that was causing it to run after flushing. If you're looking for a great plumber, look no further. He explained several installation alternatives to my wife and I . We discussed the choices and selected one that satisfied our needs. As previously stated, the representative was able to restart the existing water heater so we have hot water now, but we chose to replace it due to its age. He explained everything to me so it was easy to understand & showed me what systems I needed. Turns out my well water has very low pH and he installed a system for the entire house to fix it. Now all my water is more alkaline. He also put a water purification system at my sink so I have water that I use for drinking, cooking, washing my veggies. I feel safer drinking my water now. Scott Cullin, the sales tech was very accommodating with scheduling our initial appointment. He was on time, asked about our project scope, performed his water tests and made a recommendation based on the findings. He was not high pressure at all. I advised that I was getting competitive proposals and it would be a few days before I made a decision. Orbit's equipment is the most efficient, seems to be the best quality, and quite frankly had the best warranties. The installation went well. The installer removed old equipment and installed the new softener and filtration kit. He was in and out within the 3 hour time window specified. He answered all the questions I had for him during the installation. Once everything was done and cleaned up, he went through the operation with me, explaining how everything worked and what things to keep an eye on. Very good experience. Vinny on the other hand, followed up several times, which was great. He did everything he said he would do, and he did it quickly. I contacted him a few months later to ask if he did water testing. He did not, but gave me a great referral. If I need to get a filter installed, I'm calling Vinny back to do the work."
