Because he was working in a rail space that had been recently insulated; the project manager also inspected Rob's work to make sure his team did not need to do any follow up repairs. He was very impressed by Rob's workmanship. Rob's mitigation work resulted in a significant reduction in radon levels as measured by our Corentium Home 2 devices from Airthings, this device measures radon/temp/humidity continuously and allows us to monitor levels via the app. if you are concern about radon in your home, I would recommend both Rob from Tri-state, and understanding your long term radon levels using a device such as the Corentium Home 2 device. "Radon Shield was hired after I got a higher then expected reading for radon in by home when selling it. Benedict shared a lot of great advice about radon gas in the home, he was able to schedule the install in a very fast time frame which was extremely helpful because I was selling my home. "The service was a Radon Remediation System...not listed above. Benedict and his brother were GREAT. I needed it to sell my home and they drive 90 miles and come out in just a couple days. The work involves boring through your basement floor, piping up and out of the house and up above the roof line with a fan and pressure gauge installed. I was apprehensive but trusted their "get right to it" attitude and the finished project is neat, clean and sealed in all necessary areas. Long term exposure to Radon can potentially cause cancer. The home tested as high as 5.2 (4.0 is bad) and after the system was installed another test read 0.3...virtually none. They were easy to deal with by phone, text and email and while I am unhappy that I had to spend the money, I feel it was WELL SPENT. I highly recommend them to resolve such a "mysterious " issue."

"I chose this company based on Angies list reviews and it did not steer me wrong. His schedule was accomodating and we were able to book a time within just a few days from my call. On the day of the inspection Peter called me and let me know he might be a few minutes late (which I appreciated) but he showed up a few minutes ahead of schedule. He was very thorough and made sure that we understood whatever he was showing us before moving on. He was meticulous and spent most of his time on the exterior and basment as that is where the majority of major issues would be. In this case their happened to be a huge drainage problem. He was very knowledgeable but was careful to state his boundries when dealing with structure problems. He suggested that we pull the permits for any work that was done and to contact a structural engineer. We didnt even get that far because we pulled out the day after his report was sent. The report was completed within 48 hours and was 48 pages long. Obvisouly not all of it was extermely important details, but necessary nonetheless. Peter was also careful not to provide us with opinions, but rather focus on providing us all of the relevant information so that we could make our own informed decision. I'll be calling him again soon when we find another home to purchase.

"David inspected a potential home I was looking to purchase and he was so thorough that by the time we were done it gave me a very clear understanding of what issues the house had, what needed fixing and what was downright dangerous. When buying a home, you need a great inspector like David because if you don't get a good inspection you run the risk of buying a big money pit. I bought a home once before but that was a joke compared to the great inspection David did. The home David inspected was a small 1200 sq. home but it was built in 1935 and so he did mention we should expect to see some things pop up. However, he went above and beyond and I am so grateful for his hard work that I will recommend him to others in the future as well and will call on him again for inspections.
