"This company is a treasure! I had a gas leak last week in the heart of the coldest weather in ten years: PSE&G just shut off the gas and left; and Alex was the only plumber who responded, to my urgent calls for help as the house cooled down. He was reassuring, came that day to take a look, arrived punctually with a helper the next day, and did a 3-hour repair (it involved work outside and in a crawl space) quickly, efficiently, and professionally. He cleaned up thoroughly, and left me with heat back on and hot water restored. PSE&G came the next day to remove the red tag and approve his work. All this for a third of the price the big companies wanted to charge me! In addition, he spotted duct work that had been dangerously incorrectly installed on the new furnace and warned me - the company who did the installation has just been over and has agreed to remediate the duct work free of charge. - Alex is fairly young but experienced, a master plumber, fully licensed, and friendly and h"

"There was almost an immediate response to our request for a plumber for valve work in our basement. Through a phone call and texting of pictures Titan was able to determine the problem and the parts needed to make the repair. At 7:05 the next morning (after plumbing supplier opened)we received a phone call with an estimate. Within 45 minutes the two workers were at our house and 20 minutes later the problem had been corrected. We are very pleased and thankful for their efficient, professional, and friendly service. We know they fit us into their busy schedule. We certainly recommend Titan to others!"

"Jimmy was amazing. My boyfriend and I were in a serious bind when water started leaking into our kitchen from the bathroom upstairs after we just moved in. I called a handful of other plumbers who wanted to charge us an estimate to come, wanted me to send pictures for an estimate or quoted an exorbitant amount without a clear plan due to the complexity of our issue. I was starting to get really worried until I called Titan. Jimmy was professional, personable and fairly priced. He came that night and determined a plan for a permanent fix. The next day he rerouted all the pipes and corrected the issue in no time. We are so grateful we found him!"

"Erik came on time. I appreciated that before starting he reviewed the quote with me, so that I knew upfront how much I was going to pay, My problem was a clogged kitchen sink drain. Erik managed to fix the issue even though the clog was quite far in the pipe. I would hire him again."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Completing plumbing projects in Milltown provides immediate benefits like restored water pressure, improved water quality, and protection against frozen pipes during winter months. Proactively replacing lead service lines eliminates severe health risks and ensures compliance with state mandates. Long-term advantages include higher property values in a competitive market, reduced insurance risks, and alignment with strict New Jersey water efficiency standards. These proactive upgrades keep your home safe and functional.

Helpful?

Simple plumbing fixture replacements take a few hours to complete. A full water heater replacement requires two to four hours of labor, but scheduling inspections extends the timeline to three weeks. Partial repiping takes up to three days of active labor. Winter weather in NJ slows down exterior excavations, while the busy spring season extends contractor scheduling times. Always factor permit processing into your total project timeline.

Helpful?

A major mistake during plumbing projects is skipping required permits for renovations in New Jersey. Homeowners also fail to verify their lead service line status before starting interior work, creating serious health hazards. Another error involves improperly winterizing older homes, leaving pipes in crawl spaces vulnerable to freezing. Finally, attempting DIY repairs on severely corroded galvanized or cast iron systems causes dangerous leaks. Hire a local professional for complex repairs.

Helpful?

As properties age in Milltown, plumbing systems degrade and require updates. Homes built before the 1960s feature galvanized steel lines that corrode, causing low water pressure and discoloration. Properties from the 1960s through the 1980s contain copper pipes prone to pinhole leaks due to regional water chemistry. Additionally, older homes face degrading cast iron drains and root intrusion in sewer laterals. Upgrade these failing materials to protect your property.

Helpful?

Start by identifying the construction year of your property, as this dictates the existing pipe materials and potential code compliance gaps. Verify your lead service line status with the local water utility before starting any plumbing updates. Inspect your foundation type and check for mature trees near your sewer lateral, which cause root intrusion. Finally, confirm your prior permit history to understand past repairs in your Milltown home.
