"It was a great experience. Sina and his team were professional and took great care to do a great job. They constantly had new ideas to make the process better and worked with me on ideas I had. Best contractors I have ever worked with."

"Brian and his team did a fantastic job. They were expedient, efficient, and did a clean job. I would be foolish to not hire B Tec on my next electrical job."

"Speer Air is a great company, from customer support, to electricians, plumbers and sales rep., our guy was Anthony DeFranco, he was fantastic, got all the permits, setup the inspections, gave us a really fair price and just was all out great working with. "Came to my home to look at the installation of a sub panel in a new non attached building on my property. Got back to me the next day as he said he would. His price was fair. I contacted him back and said I would like to proceed with him. Gave me a date, which was a few days later. He contacted me that day and was there right on time. Did what he had to do and was done. Don't like to spend money, but I wish I had more for him to do. Will definitely recommend him without a doubt to anyone who asks me about an electrician. Thanks Again!"

"I've hired Misael several times and I'm very pleased with the outcome as well as Misael's professionalism throughout every project. Estimates are fully documented in line-item form and accurate. Very neat and does his best to minimize impact to daily living. Most recently, we had a basement completely refinished. The job was completed quickly, on budget, and with good quality workmanship. He also had great recommendations for design/materials. Previously, he completed a full bathroom remodel. That was a challenging project for a number of reasons - but Misael persevered through the problems and the resulting bathroom is terrific. I can't recommend CFI enough."

"Our old 5” gutters & 2”x3” downspouts had to be replaced so we decided to replace them with new 6” gutters & 3”x4” downspouts. In addition, we had to replace an older leaking skylight. So, I reviewed contractors and ultimately decided to hire AJT Complete Construction in Lodi. Taner (initial contact & owner) explained what had to be done, when they could do the job and how long it would take. The price was reasonable, yet competitive. His crews were excellent. They arrived on time; started work immediately, worked diligently, answered any questions and cleaned the work area before leaving. And the finished gutters, downspouts and skylight look great. IMO - if you have to replace gutters and/or a skylight please ask AJT to look at your project."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

You can draw your own house plans using three-dimensional modeling software, but in most cases, you’ll need an architect to draw up the final plans. Architects understand local building regulations and requirements, so their plans will be necessary for getting permits approved, and they’ll also ensure your home is structurally sound. DIY house plans can be a good place to start to help visualize your project, but you should always defer to a professional before trying to proceed with the project.

Building designers charge between $2,000 and $50,000, depending on project scope, complexity, and customization.

In-law suite floor plans almost always include at least one bedroom, a bathroom, and a combination kitchen/living room area or separate spaces for the kitchen and living room. Larger in-law suites built in accessory dwelling units separate from your main structure can feature multiple bedrooms, dining rooms, and entertainment rooms in addition to the necessities.

Federal architecture is most common in urban areas throughout the New England states, including the older parts of New York, Pennsylvania (namely, Boston and Philadelphia), Maryland, Massachusetts, and Virginia. The style also dominated in parts of Georgia in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, so many historical homes in the area embody this home design. Salem, MA, has two historic districts that predominantly feature this architectural style: Chestnut Street District and the Salem Maritime National Historic Site.

An architect is usually involved in the process of determining the layout and structural features and requirements of the home itself, taking into account the local codes, climate, and materials needed to make the home structurally sound. Architects may communicate more with contractors and subcontractors throughout the building process. In comparison to architects, interior designers typically focus on the aesthetics of a home interior and possibly exterior, helping the homeowner decide on color schemes, textures, and materials to incorporate into the design.
