"Overall, my experience was not that great. The biggest problem was communication with the owner. From March 21 - April 29 I left 7 voicemails and he never called me back to keep me updated on when the job would be finished or answer questions I had.

The workers did a good job and cleaned everything up very well from the tree removal and branch trimming. The owner said someone would be back another day to grind the stump and clean up the wood chips from the grinding. The stump was ground down a week later on the 24th but the wood chips were left on the lawn. The day the stump was ground down I called to find out when they would be back to remove the wood chips and I got VM. I could not leave a message as the VM box was full. At that point I didn't know if/when they would be back to clean up the wood chips and I didn't want to leave them on the lawn due to being concerned that the grass underneath would die, so I cleaned up most of the debris (21 garden bags) myself.

There was a small pile of chips left after cleaning up and on April 29th the owner stopped at the house and tamped them down to level them with the grass."

"They showed up on time and got straight to work. I had a fence, a dozen bushes and a large garden with a tree removed. Everything was done quickly and they cleaned up nicely. I would definitely use them again and have already told one guy about them the same day!"

"Jonick LLC did a great job of trimming our ivy. They were a little late because of car trouble, but once they arrived they did what needed to be done quickly and effectively and they cleaned up after themselves perfectly. The patio was cleaner than I left it for them and the ivy looks great."

"He gave me a free estimate beforehand, and the price was perfect. The garden was such a mess before he came and made it all new. He replaced the mulch, got me new flowers, mowed the lawn, and picked up trash around my property. With the tree removal, he cut down the whole tree and took all of the pieces away. He did an amazing job, would hire again"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Palm trees are unique in that their roots don't grow straight down; they grow horizontally. Typically, palm tree roots go down between 12 and 36 inches deep. The roots grow far and wide from the base of the palm tree to absorb as much water and soil nutrients as possible. In addition, the horizontal roots are also very strong—keeping palm trees stable and helping them sway during storms.

Leaving a dead tree can expose your other trees to potential diseases, pests, and fungi, and it can also be a hazard. If your tree is dead, then you should hire a tree maintenance service to remove it. Cutting down trees is extremely dangerous, and a professional can ensure no one gets hurt and there is no damage to your property. Tree removal costs between $200 and $2,000 and will prevent future issues and keep you and your property safe.

The typical lifespan of a Bradford pear is relatively short, only 15 to 25 years. However, these trees have issues long before their life is over. Due to their soft wood and fast-growing branches, Bradford pear trees often split around 15 years, making them a risk for falling branches and more prone to disease.

No. Most of the time, suckers are only a sign that the tree is experiencing stress. However, they can also be the canary in the coal mine, letting you know that something else is stressing your tree. If you have lots of suckers on your tree, calling in an arborist or a tree care expert is always a good call to determine the cause and develop a solution that de-stresses your tree.

If you’re planning on keeping the tree, unless the roots are invasive, there’s no need to remove them, as doing so can cause damage to the tree. If the tree has been cut down and the stump and roots are left, grinding and removing the stump can cause root decay for some species. For other species, the stump and roots will need to be removed to prevent pests, disease, and possible tree regrowth.
