"OUTSTANDING WORK on short notice. The Radon Shield team did some very impressive work for us and we will certainly reach-out to them for other services in the future. For this project, we asked Mr. Ugorji and his team to install 2 separate radon mitigation systems for a large sq ft home with a basement air radon concentration well over 4 pCi/L where masonry drilling would be required for the installation. We also faced difficult time constraints, but Mr. Ugorji arranged to begin work the next day. Before visiting the work site, we discussed the installation, the home, expectations. He provided a clear and accurate assessment of the costs and time/effort required for our project (our final bill matched his initial assessment, nothing added, no surprises). The location for the installations, routing of piping and wiring, model fans to be used, attachment and sealing methods, follow-up testing, and much more were discussed before work began. Our preferences were addressed and pros/cons were weighed. Mr. Ugorji worked efficiently and his team tidied-up as the work progressed. All aspects of the installation were handled professionally. Care was taken to upgrade remote junction boxes and other components impacted by the new system. The routing of the suction/exhaust piping was thoughtfully designed, securely installed, and tightly sealed. When both systems were turned-on, they presented matching suction levels, indicating effective under-slab suction. The end result is a very effective radon mitigation system that has (after a few days of constant electronic monitoring) achieved a basement air concentration of 0.35 pCi/L. Mr. Ugorji followed-up with us a few days later to check on the new radon test levels and to ensure everything was as expected."

"Home inspection for purchase. It went very well. Peter was extremely knowledgeable. He gave all sorts of money and time saving advice. He showed his experience and made me feel confident that I was purchasing a solid house. Peter's report was thorough. My only wish would be that his pictures would have accommpanied his comments. The pictures were separate and required memory to recall what the picture was showing. Not a big deal. Would have been more difficult had I not been with him every step of the inspection. Peter came to my house to do a full home inspection and a radon test of my three family home.  He actually arrived a few minutes before I did.  I gave him some background on the property and outlined for me what areas are included in the inspection and then he got to work.  The inspection took around three hours.  Peter took a lot of photos which was great.  I have a flat roof and this is a pretty high building and I refuse to go up there.  So his photos really came in handy for me.  And I also have an attic area that I could not walk into, so having the pictures are very helpful in this instance as well. 

He is also very knowledgeable and informed on every area that he covered and he does not mind being interrupted with questions.  He gave me a lot of great suggestions and really helped me to understand clearly and simply what areas I should pay close attention to and address.  He takes his time and always wants to know if you have questions about anything.  I highly recommend Peter.

"Dave spent an hour and a half on the outside alone.  He left no stone unturned unless the seller had furniture or boxes in the way.  He had been in the construction business for 30 years, and that was very apparent.  He found things I would have never thought of, and was honest when he found good things as well.  He spent the time to explain and remind me of even the simplest safety things you should do in a home, like hitting the test and reset buttons on outlets once a month.  Apparently they break after a while and don't work at all.  I would definitely recommend Dave!!

"A two-man team worked very efficiently to remove each vent cover and vacuum inside the vent openings throughout the townhouse. One man removed the vent covers while the other man vacuumed inside the vent openings. No problems with how they worked but I think there are other companies who perform a more thorough cleaning of ductwork using other methods. This company did a superficial cleaning and worked very quickly. In and out within an hour.
