EAGLE HOME INSPECTIONS

The motto of Eagle Home inspection is: Honest & Professional Inspections at Affordable Prices and my wife and I can attest to the fact that they live up to that motto 100%. Our first contact with them was with Eileen Romaniello, the wife and business manager of Ed Romaniell who actually performs the inspections. She was very friendly and patient and took her time to carefully walk us through the whole process. When we met Ed at the home inspection he proved to be extremely friendly, patient, and professional. As we followed him as he made his rounds he took extensive photos and gave us detailed explanations of everything that he found that may need future attention. He was up on the roof, checked the attic and basement, and carefully went through every room, nook and cranny of the house and garage checking all appliances, heating and cooling systems, electrical and plumbing systems and all structural items. When we received his report the next day we were astounded and pleased with how comprehensive it was. Ed provided extensive annotated photos with detailed explanations of every item item that might need future attention. Him and his wife were also kind enough to answer over the phone or in writing our many follow up questions concerning the inspection. We highly recommend using their service if you need a home inspection done in the area they cover. Two additional caveats: they also recommended to us a septic inspection service that proved to be just as affordable, friendly, comprehensive and knowledgeable as they were. We plan on using Ed to inspect our current home before putting it on the market so we can have advance warning of any items that may need our attention before selling.

Ed and his wife Eileen are fantastic! They are such nice people and Ed is extremely thorough with his inspection. His reports are also very thorough and the way he presents the information makes it easy to read through. They are also very prompt! We had the report the following day and as soon as the results of the radon came back, we receive that too. We wouldn't use anyone else!

Ed was the most thorough, professional, and courteous inspector I have ever met. He did an absolutely phenomenal job. I would recommend him to absolutely anyone looking to buy a home. Particularly, if you want the job to be thorough and in depth. He does not cut corners and is extremely meticulous at his work. He looks at every single nook and cranny and he will find things that most inspectors probably miss. We were pleased that Ed spent roughly four hours on our home inspection. We felt everything that could be a concern was discovered and noted by Ed in his report. He took the time to explain everything that may be a cause for concern and answered all of our questions.

Ed provided excellent service. He was extremely thorough, professional and very engaging. I would recommend him to anyone.
Furthermore his company also coordinate the Septic Inspection with Class Septic Inspections from Midland Park. They also were very good.

Ed completed a great home inspection.  He was on time, cordial, professional, and a nice guy.  He was thorough in his work and was also pragmatic in the way he looked at things.  It was a great experience.  He turned the report around in less than 48 hours, and at $595, was right in line with what I'd expect him to pay.  He was there for about 3 hours, as quoted, and it was clear he knows his stuff.  If I ever need a home inspection again in the area, I'll certainly be using Eagle.

Our experience with Eagle Home Inspections was terrific. I was given three services to call for estimates. I called Eagle first and didn't bother with the others after speaking with Eileen. I'm glad we used their service. Ed was prompt, thorough, took his time, explained things as he went along, answered all our questions and provided a very comprehensive report. Highly recommended!

The inspection went very well, Ed is a very thorough and knowledgable inspector. His background in construction shines through. He was especially accomodating with a very eccentric and obtrusive homeowner that wouldn't leave him alone. I was impressed with his patience.

Will use again and again!

I'm new to Angie's List, but thought Ed at Eagle Home Inspections deserved to be reviewed here by me. I asked if a friend, who does home repairs, could be there with us and Ed was more than happy to oblige. From our initial call to getting the final report, Ed was prompt, courteous and professional. Ed leaves nothing out. He took his time, went over everything inside and out. He explained in detail everything he was looking for and doing every step of the way. We never felt like anything was being rushed or overlooked. He even took the time to explain to me how everything in the house, from the shut-offs to the heating system, works. Upon completion, we received a detailed report with photo's. I can't imagine there's a better inspector out there. As for value for the money, we feel we got much more than we paid for.

If you happen to need an electrician or heating system/plumber, Ed knows the best people. We eventually needed and used both people Ed referred us to and couldn't have been happier with them. I'll post reviews in the appropriate area's soon.
