"The Aqua Dry team did an incredible job! They were extremely courteous, clean and precise in their work to install a french drain. I HIGHLY recommend the team. I was really worried about dirt in the house but Aqua Dry took extra care and left the house cleaner than they found it!"

"Joe was professional and let me know what he was going to do. After he left the problem area has been fine..no leaking, no worries. His price seemed reasonable and it was nothing compared to Horizon (stay away from them!). I have had different plumbers "fix" this issue and they keep leaving me with a problem not solved. I felt fine when he left, fine now, and i haven't thought twice about the price. I am not worried about anymore dripping! Finally! I would use him again and I would recommend him."

"I have used the services of Rich, "The Friendly Plumber" for the past 15-20 years after he was recommended by a friend. He has unclogged a really stubborn drain, installed toilets, replaced a water heater, identified the source of a hidden leak, replaced bathroom faucets, etc. Rich is professional, reliable, and yes, he really is friendly. I highly recommend his service, you won't be disappointed."

"Just moved in to a newly renovated town home. Day 1 on-suite sink suddenly started draining slowly, which didn't happen during inspections and finial walk through. Either way, Dave attempted to snake the sink. After 2 attempts we started to worry, because the alternative is to open the wall up and re-do the pipe $$$. Not something you want to do after you purchased your first house. Dave said lets give it one more shot and hope this works....Low and behold he got to the root of the issue and the sink is now moving smoothly. He also replaced the washer in the elbow which was pinched and installed improperly, which caused leaking when backed up."

French Drains questions, answered by experts

Most blockages can be cleared in 1-3 hours, but severe issues may take longer.

To get rid of a sewer smell in your crawl space, you’ll have to find the source of the problem. If it has to do with your sewer lines, then repairing the line will help. You may need to make other repairs, like fixing your sump pump or encapsulating your crawl space to reduce moisture. After you make the repair, depending on the issue, you may still need to clean out your crawl space to get rid of the stink.

Yes, you can pour water down the toilet to help it flush. For each flush, you’ll need 1 to 2 gallons of water for newer toilets or 3 to 5 gallons of water for older toilets. Rather than dumping the entire bucket in all at once, pour the water in slowly for the best results. If you’re pouring water down the toilet to help it flush after a clog, only use 1 gallon of hot water.

You can try several easy methods to unclog a drain, one of the easiest and most effective of which is to use a mixture of baking soda and vinegar. This will help dislodge and dissolve the clog to move it down the drain pipes. Pour 1/2 cup baking soda into the drain, followed by 1/2 cup of white vinegar. Dump several cups of boiling water (or hot water if you have PVC pipes) into the drain and let sit for up to one hour. Run hot water to clear the drain.

If you’re not using a septic system, problems with your home’s plumbing won’t cause this—it’s a city problem. A large blockage in the municipal sewage lines may cause those lines to back up into your home. This is extremely unpleasant and can be a serious health risk due to bacteria and other contaminants. If this occurs, call a pro (or your city) immediately.
