"This was a very involved plaster repair and remediation job, in a very old house. Grady is the only person (or company) who was willing to take on the job and drive all the way from Pennsylvania to our home in Northern Virginia. There are very few people who do this kind of work anymore (we really searched) and he is an expert in his field. "I recommended Slats and Pleats to my sister from Angie's List, and she decided to give them a call. Paul, the owner, came as planned in November and took all the measurements for the windows and for the french doors. It took about 6 weeks or so to get the shutters installed, as was promised. (My sister wanted the shutters without the middle spines, so I believe this may have taken longer than those with the spines.) The installers came, and it took them the better part of the day to do the installation. They were very polite, careful, and professional. All and all, this was a very positive experience. The shutters look beautiful, and fit perfectly. My sister was very pleased with Slats and Pleats!

"The initial meeting to measure and discuss the window treatments went very well.  Chris of ABC Windows and his father have been in the business for at least thirty years first in the Bronx and now in Tuckahoe, NY. 
He was very knowledgeable about the area and the surrounding buildings and the nature of the light that my co-op receives.  I arranged for a visit to his shop where in a matter of a few hours I made my selections.  He guided me to the fabric and shade choices that enabled me to make a decision in one visit.  It was approximately six weeks from the date of my selection to the final installation.  Due to availability of materials there were two installations.  I am very happy with the results and would use them again if and when the need arises.
