"Alex got back to me right away after I posted my request and quoted a very reasonable price. He was on time, very pleasant, and quickly took away the bed and mattress I wanted hauled off! Plus he is a New York Giants fan!!!"

"Abra-Cadabra was excellent. I would hire them again. They charge you the quote and do not add extra fees. They are polite and professional. The owner is on every job. I was able to book next day service. They arrived early and were done in about 20 minutes. I could not have removed the heavy, bulky treadmill myself. They are worth ever penny."

"Luiz was amazing. He came to do an estimate and was kind and knowledgeable. He was honest and transparent with what he thought his company could provide us in the service. Isabel, the woman who did the cleaning did a great job and was thorough and took her time. The pricing was fair and Luiz was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend."

Hauling questions, answered by experts

The most affordable way to dispose of hazardous waste is to find a local disposal program that accepts hazardous materials with no dumping fees. These programs are available in many communities and are funded by local governments. If you can transport your hazardous materials to the dumping site, you can often get rid of everything at no cost.

If you can’t repair and repurpose your shed, it might be possible to sell it, donate it, or salvage parts rather than them just ending up in a landfill. Professional junk removal services will advise you on what can and will be recycled. You may also want to keep some parts to upcycle them for other projects around your home. Turning planks from your memory-filled wooden shed into a coffee table or bed headboard is good for the environment and the soul.

It depends on the dumpster rental company. Some may allow you to put box springs in their dumpsters, while others may not. Ask your rental company before putting a box spring into the dumpster.

When scrap tires are properly recycled, they are often shredded into small pieces. This way, the materials within can be separated and used to manufacture various new products. This includes fuel, playground surfaces, sports fields, rubberized asphalt, mats, flooring, and filler for new tires. Some tires still end up in landfills, but this practice is becoming less common.

Many recycling centers will not recycle Styrofoam because it is very difficult to return to its base form. Additionally, many recycling facilities do not have the proper equipment to compact or densify recycled polystyrene foam into new foam blocks. Ultimately, the entire process for recycling polystyrene foam is expensive and takes a lot of time.
