"I went through Angi's list and Workdog Haulers were the first ones that called me back. Alex was very kind and polite. His prices were very good and reasonable with my budget. He did an awesome job although I had a lot. He didn't see no job too little or big. I highly recommend him to anyone. His professionalism is outstanding. Accommodated my hours. My family member who greeted him said his staff was very helpful and courteous. I highly recommend him to anyone and everyone."

"This company cleared out and swept a home I was selling. They were professional and scheduled the clean out on a timely basis. They used a large truck to haul away materials and saved me the expense of getting a dumpster to remove the junk. I would highly recommend them. Thanks for your service, Vincent!"

"Angelo and his crew were great. They were able to schedule me in quickly and the job was done in only a couple of days. They had a difficult install of an attic access hatch with a pull down ladder. They executed everything I asked them to do. They showed up on time and cleaned up after their work. Would recommend them to anyone."

Small jobs welcome

"The team confirmed the day before, advised when they were 10 minutes away & arrived 10 minutes earlier. They came prepared with tools, professional, cleaned up. This is what truly impressed me, they removed a three sectional wall unit. The majority of it was glass, including the glass shelves, not one piece of glass broken from the time they took it apart from the time that we removed it from the apartment kudos!!!! Single women will feel comfortable with strangers in home. I’m recommending to my circle & they are in my rolodex for future furniture removal."

Hauling FAQs, answered by experts

In short, yes, contractors should clean up any debris, materials, and tools left from their projects. However, whether their services include a deep clean often depends on the contract. Most homeowners will hire an additional cleaner after construction for a thorough pass through the house to ensure the space is safe and as clean from construction dust as possible.

There are several things to avoid packing into your storage container to reduce the risk of damage or danger. This includes weapons, ammunition, and combustible, flammable, or toxic items, such as gasoline, fireworks, or chemicals. Perishable items, such as plants or food (except for canned goods), are also a no-go, as are damp goods.

You have several options for disposing of excess sand. Any extra sand from your project can be used as part of your topsoil mixture to level out an uneven lawn. You can also donate it, give it to a green waste facility, or ask neighbors if they need sand. Another option is to try reselling it on a marketplace or simply returning unused bags to the original store.

There are a number of factors that make an item difficult to recycle, but it often comes down to mixed materials. Any item you can’t leave on your curb for recycling pickup is likely considered an item difficult to recycle. Common examples of items considered difficult and require special handling or other recycling arrangements are tires, appliances using freon, batteries, and compact fluorescent lightbulbs (CFLs).

Once the fire pit ashes have entirely cooled, you can dispose of them with your regular garbage — just wait a day or two to be safe. However, there are lots of good uses for fire pit ashes around the house, so they’re worth saving in a bin outside. For instance, they can help repel pests from your garden and also add rich nutrients to the soil. You can also use the ashes in the winter; ashes are good at providing traction on icy driveways and can even melt snow and ice quickly.
