Did the required work but didn't clean up after themselves.

Deb made scheduling easy. Up front with prices. Called with half hour arrival time. Movers were courteous and worked well together. Payment was easy. Job complete in 15 minutes!

Went great! The guys were polite and professional. They were on prompt and finished quickly. Couldn't ask for anything more.

Dave and Jake arrived earlier than the scheduled time. I showed them what had to be removed and they set about removing the articles. They were friendly, professional and respectful to me and family members present. I was impressed enough to schedule them to return next week to remove a few more things and I plan to utilize their services when the sale of my home is complete to remove all the remaining furniture.

This is my second time working with CHHJ; they are customer-focused and they make a potentially stressful experience a pleasant one. They were able to add me to their schedule on the same day that I called, and Steve & Andrew came to my rescue. They were polite, friendly, and respectful with all of the items they moved, and finished the job in record time. I continue to tell family and friends about this special group of people, and I would definitely use them again.

Very professional work

Communication with the office was very quick and easy - thanks Deb. The two-mn team of Jake and Dave arrived during the scheduled time having called 15 minutes before they arrived to let us know. They were efficient and very pleasant. I am sure we will use them again when we spring clean.

First I want to say that Jeremy who came by to look at what i had and estimate the load was so friendly and nice. I actually did not know I had to pay for donation pick ups. The 2 guys I had 2 days later to take the donations ,Dom and Conner were very nice. I am moving and have a lot of things to donate. i had some big items like a couch, a chair, coffee table and also a lot of boxes with toys, books,home items , pictures, etc. I had called two other donation centers to pick up(free) and they could not come out for 3 weeks. I am moving out in 2 weeks. My fault for not calling earlier. When I looked up Goodwill, they no longer picked up items and recommend College hunks to pick up items for donations. I scheduled and Andrew came out to look at items and tell me how much it would cost to see if I wanted to proceed. I needed to have the items removed. Paying to have items removed to donate was a bit of a surprise. I can't comment on how their prices are compared to other movers since i have not had to pay for removing donations before. I would definitely call them get an estimate if I needed them to pack and move. I actually did not know their other services until I talked to Jeremy. They were very nice and respectful of my house.

It was an excellent service. I have used them 3 before and they always on time, do a excellent mob. fair prices, clean and no hassle.

Dave, Brian and Kevin did a great job. They were very helpful and performed the work efficiently and cheerfully.

Tarin and Quinn were excellent. They were very personable and professional. I especially liked how they coordinated each move and worked as a team. The furniture moved is very heavy, some quite large, maple. They negotiated narrow hallways and stairs without once hitting a wall. They made good use of time by always taking something up or down as a moved from one piece to another. They also hauled away from accumulated junk. I will definitely use them again and will recommend them highly.

Excellent.....Punctual, professional, and courteous!

Our crew was punctual, pleasant to communicate with, and super professional. They were logical and methodical in their work, never flagging, complaining about the weather (so hot), or even taking a break until the job was complete. They booked our move just a few weeks ahead of our move date, which we were having some trouble with as we were shopping around. Other companies have long, fussy lists of what they will and won't move. College Hunks didn't need anything to be specially wrapped, we simply packed according to our own methods and that was fine with them. They also didn't try to up-sell us their own specialty materials to pack with, which a couple other places did. Finally, their price beat local competitors by over $200. We would go to them first on our next move.

The price was fair, prompt, they are polite, cleaned out my basement and there was nothing left. They swept up. I called them on a Thursday night and they came the next day at 8am. I was very pleased with them.

Philip and Joe were very courteous, quick and professional. They quickly went about doing the job and cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend this company and kudos to Philip and Joe for great service.

On a day before the job a CH's representative inspected the items to be hauled away and estimated the cost at $480 plus small undefined amount for labor. On the next day the truck with a crew of two arrived on time, but the truck was already half full. The items for handling were inspected once more and the fact that I dropped from the list a king size bed and substituted for it a few boxes ( the total of boxes was much smaller than the bed) was taken into account. The new cost estimate was $730. Although none of the estimates was provided in writing (big, big mistake on my part), I agreed to that. By the end of the job, the final charges were $ 1423.53, i.e. almost twice the amount of $730 estimated at the beginning. Their hauling and cleaning job was OK, but their pricing, increasing over time, was dishonest.

The service was 5 Star. The initial call was great. The Rep was kind, knowledgeable and friendly. She worked with us to meet both the office and the Doctors schedule to come in the NEXT day for a free estimate. The doctor was happy with the estimate and felt that is was very fair. They worked with us to schedule service the following day. The guys were polite, efficient and friendly. We are very happy with the service and will both use them again and refer them to other offices in the hospital. Thank you!

First, the name... my wife set this up, and I thought we'd get some kids with a battered pickup truck.  Nope.  This is a professional operation, and with a truck (big truck) very specifically well suited.  Open top box, so that they can get stuff packed in tightly without worrying about a container top getting in the way of "up and over" packing of items into the least space possible.  Amazingly clean truck, and in great shape besides.  The tools (packed in side boxes under the truck) were plentiful and in great supply.  They didn't have a sledge hammer but we did, for a few things where tools were less expedient than a sledge hammer.
When we talked, the owner gave us a time slot, said she'd call a half hour before actual time.  That's exactly what happened. Can't remember the last time a services contractor actually kept that promise.  The truck and two guys (yes, they WERE hunks I suppose... OK, I'm a guy so I'm guessing, but they were big, and strong, and not sloppy looking, and were pleasant to talk with and work with) pulled in, and we got to work.
I'd radically underestimated how much stuff it would take to fill the truck size the owner had explained to me, mostly because I didn't think that they'd work so hard to pack as much stuff into the space as possible.  After they had everything I thought would fill the truck, we weren't even close - because they disassembled a couple pieces of furniture (one with tools, a couple with sledge hammers) so that they'd take up less space, and a couple times did re-arranging to get more stuff into less space.  Turned into haul-away-Christmas.  We just kept pointing out stuff until we'd emptied out the two garage bays that we've not used since we moved in. The guys were pleasant, seemed to be enjoying their work, stopped me from moving some things that I'm sure I could have moved... but not like they did.
Garage bays emptied, they looked at the truck and decided that there was still some space, so didn't charge us for a full truck load. Again, can't remember the last time anyone was that honest and accommodating.
Would we have them back?  Expletive yeah!  Painless, pleasant, reasonably priced, and nice.  Ain't so much "nice" any more in the world, it's a rare commodity.  We'd have wasted six or seven weekend days hauling the same amount of stuff to the dump (and standing in line for an hour or more, and then there's the bills for pain killers.)  Most of all, they kept every promise, and seemed really interested in making sure we were happy.  And were nice.
I think we're going to have one more load... we won't be calling anyone else.

We are reaching the end of a year-long redecorating project.  These guys carried a large table, 2-piece hutch with mirrors, and 6 chairs over our newly finished floors (we rolled our new rug back) without a hitch.  They were pleasant, professional, and prompt.  I would call them again in a minute.

If any of our items can be donated they will send us a receipt for tax purposes.
