"Tony & his crews have always done a great job for me. I've been using their services for at least 15 years now - everything from exterior painting, replacing siding, building new entrance to my deck, etc. Tony responds quickly, he shows up when he says he will, he does what he says he's going to do. I have found his pricing consistent with the high quality of his work. His crews are polite, work hard & always clean-up at the end of each working day. Couldn't be happier."

"Oscar and the team did a great job on my deck replacement project. It was tired and worn out and I had put it off for too long. Oscar's team came in, did a free estimate, answered all my questions, and had the work done within a reasonable amount of time and for a great price. You will find no one better for your homeowner fixes than Easton General Contractors!"

"TNN managed our new construction and land development project from scratch. Tim caught MANY errors by the Engineer and Architect before they could become a problem. He made many great suggestions to elevate our original plans. Work quality is great and they take pride in everything they do. Nick did an amazing job on our trapezoid windows and carpentry work. We highly reccommed TNN and will continue to use them for the next phase of our project (garage) We would be happy to provide a reference and even show the work they completed for our project. "We wanted a small deck. I had quotes from Lowes and another contractor. Gary responded quickly to my initial call and provided samples, pricing and suggested a design. He had the best price and wanted no money up front. He also worked with our town's building department to come to a final design they would approve. From the time of final approval, the crew started work within a reasonable timeframe and took about a week. The deck looks good and feels solid. As Gary advised the darker colors really do get hot, even if there's just late afternoon sun. A bit of a downside: if you need minor adjustments/corrections and you're not in an area he usually works in, there is a wait for a crew to be in your area to address."

"Jose did a great job, painted our dining room and added wainscoting to the walls. Looks great, someone that saw his work already reached out to have Jose work on his home. Panted garage and a nursery. Very happy, would hire again."

Generally, general contractors charge between $50 and $150 hourly, though not every contractor charges by the hour. If charging based on the project, you can expect a markup of 10% to 20% of the construction cost. You can expect to pay between $300 and $500 daily if charged by the day.
General contractors are the ones that coordinate home construction projects. They are in charge of the day-to-day oversight of the subcontractors to ensure that the project is completed on time and to resolve problems as they arise. General contractors:
Complete pre-construction planning, both with the customer and crew
Provide realistic cost estimates
Develop construction timelines
Ensure deadlines are met
Acquire permits as needed
Purchase supplies and materials
While city and state laws vary on general contractor licensing requirements, hiring an unlicensed general contractor could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local general contractor guidelines for your area.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
