"Thank you [Member Name Removed], we appreciate your business and look forward to the opportunity to work with you again!"
One of the best parts of the project was how clean each step was. We have 2 little kids and it was very important to us that their safety was maintained and a routine could still be followed. We were able to use the family room every night through the project. We never expected that. Having a 2 year old able to keep his routine (i.e play with toys in the same spot) was a highlight of this project.
MTNJ definitely has another repeat customer. Chad is a perfectionist and a pleasure to do business with. If you want the job sloppy, call someone else.

I cannot say enough about the transformation of our main living area. It has surpassed my expectations from what I had originally thought about when my husband and I started on the idea of remodeling.
First, the planning of the changes...I had my ideas but the thoroughness of the contractor asking questions and being honest about the work ahead was truly refreshing. Thinking ahead of how we were going to expose one room into another and keeping the look and feel of the house consistent with matching woodwork style, not pushing the most expensive ideas and giving alternatives to keep costs in-line. I felt comfortable right from the first meeting that this organization was special.
As the remodeling was going on and I had a slight change once I seen the transformation in action, the team of individuals were very receptive to update the plan. The most significant change made during the remodel was that we originally planned to only have a pass through opening in the wall between the dining room and mudroom. As they were changing this area, I asked if we can just have a partial wall (we needed this due to a radiator) and keep the top open. They adjusted the plan and now I consider the old mudroom entrance a beautiful entry way to my home.
The craftsmanship of the woodwork in the new areas, installation of doors and windows, and the finishing touches on these areas inside and out were top notch. There was never a detail too small that I could not call and talk to someone about or that they would bring to my attention to ensure I knew they were taking care of it.
The installation of the new flooring was quick and very well done around radiators and radiator pipes. As house is very old, floor was not all that even and tight. Team did a great job making adjustments and giving us a great floor.
Going from wallpaper to paint and having plaster walls, there was a lot of unknown of what may happen once wallpaper is removed. Team members removed the wallpaper with minimal issues. Appropriate prepping of walls from fixing old picture hanging holes to having to even some spots out were all taken care of.
The guidance on narrowing down paint colors and ideas on contrasting paint colors and accent walls made such a difference on how beautiful our home is now. Allowing me to pick out a few colors and testing them on areas of the walls. They put colors on several areas to see different angles and light exposure and told me to look at them for a couple days before making final decision...which made a difference in my final choices. The attention to detail on finishing touches of the new woodwork was also amazing.
There is so much more from the idea of recessed lighting in our dining room to the perfect match of color on our new doors to our shutters to ideas on stairway.
This has been our first remodel in 20 years and we could not be more pleased with the choice of contractor and cannot imagine a better outcome of our new living space.
"Thank you [Member Name Removed], You and Jeff were a pleasure to work with. Enjoy your new space!"
He took great care in sectioning off where they were working from the rest of the house to contain the dust. The painter had incredible patience with sanding and applying three coats of paint. Chad even had a cleaning lady come to dust down the blinds. The care and attention to detail was awesome. Everybody was professional and thoughtful. I already plan to hire Chad again this summer for more projects.
"Thank you [Member Name Removed] and [Member Name Removed] for the kind words. It was a pleasure working with you both. We look forward to the opportunity to work with you again. -Chad"
Each of the subcontractors (electric, carpentry, drywall, and painting) were friendly and did outstanding work. We also liked the way that Chad, the project manager, made suggestions and explained alternatives as the project progressed. He was also involved in doing much of the carpentry work. Although mess was cleaned up each day, upon completion of the project, a cleaning service was employed. All we needed to do was add the furniture and enjoy the results which turned out better than we had even imagined. We now do not hesitate to recommend SCS to anyone needing remodeling. We plan to use them again for future projects in our home.
