The barn seems to be much quieter and more comfortable, even when the temperatures have fluctuated. We will need to go through all 4 seasons to know for sure.

DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!!!! This was the worst mistake. We had recently bought an older home that needed some insulation. We have 4 small children and the house was extremely cold. We met with Ryan who came out to give an estimate. Everything sounded good so we agreed to do it. The day of the service the 2 workers who came out barely spoke any English or understood it. They did not finish the job. They left the insulation uncovered. We called about 5 times and emailed. I even spoke to the owner who said he would call me back and never did. We had to hire another company to finish the job and pay more. This winter the pipe behind our dishwasher froze and the repairman said it wasn't fully insulated behind it. Then our heating bill last month was $500.00. This was more than before it was done. This was a rip off and the most unprofessional job and people. DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM!

They did excellent work! The estimate was right on the money. They were quick, tidy and cleaned up after themselves, and were friendly on top of all that!

They were on time and finished the job in less time than anticipated.  After they left, we noticed in one of the bedrooms a nail was pushed through the ceiling.  I'm assuming this happened from all of the walking around in the attic.  Not a big deal, we hammered the nail back up, spackled over it and painted it.  But we also noticed a crack in the ceiling in another bedroom right above a closet door.  When we looked inside the closet, we found a hole in the ceiling about the size of a foot!!!  You can see the insulation through the hole!  I know this hole was not there prior to North Pole's arrival.  Even if it was, I would think they would have pointed it out just to protect themselves, but they didn't say a word.  I'm really disappointed in the fact that they didn't own up to it and tell me that they put a hole through our ceiling.  We rarely ever hire someone to do work for us, and this is why.
Response from NORTH POLE INSULATION CORP

"Really sorry to hear this. We had no idea there was a problem. On the rare occasion where something gets damaged if the homeowner calls us we always go back to fix it. If you called we could have repaired any holes made by our employees. Again we are very sorry."

Excellent workmanship.  Fair pricing.  Completed work when promised.  Kept me in the loop when an unexpected mechanical problem delayed the spray foam installation slightly.  Would recommend them (and have to others) without reservation!

Generally just fine.  I contacted Dave at North Pole insulation, he came out and looked at the scope of work, and then he gave me his price, and we set up a date.

The only things that were a bit challenging were that sometimes he was hard to reach.  A couple of times, I left a message, and never heard back.  He does seem to have minimal administrative help.  I'm sure that keeps the costs down, but it means it takes a bit more work to get things set up.

On the day the work was scheduled, his installers showed up quite a bit late, which meant my husband and I had to do some quick shifting of our time around, since we had both scheduled work meetings around the promised time.  Fortunately, it did all work out, but it was more stressful than it had to be.  The installers didn't realize that we had schedules to meet, but they did try to help once they arrived.

So my net feeling is that they did a good job, at a competitive price, but I'd love to see them work a bit on the administrative side of the business.

I called North Pole Insulation after they were recommended by a friend. They came out when scheduled and gave me an estimate. I usually get 3 estimates for any large jobs but as soon as they gave me their price I didn't need to look any further and had them schedule the job as soon as possible. I expected it to cost much more than their estimate. My house is over 100 years old and did not hold heat at all prior to this job. There was no insulation at all in the walls and the furnace would run constantly all winter. North Pole carefully removed sections of vinyl siding from the exterior, drilled holes, filled the walls with insulation and replaced the siding. There was no mess at all since it was done from the outside and after they replaced the vinyl siding you'd never even know the job was done except that now it's warm and cozy inside in the winter. It's quieter in the house too since it muffles the outside noises. The servicemen made sure that every area was filled and there were no gaps. They put everything back that they had to move just as they found it...in some cases, they left my house even better than they found it. I had a small hole in my siding for years and couldn't have it fixed because the manufacturer no longer made the siding. They found an extra piece that had slipped down when the siding was originally installed and used it to repair the broken piece for me. That wasn't part of the job, they just did it and I really appreciate it. The workers were friendly and courteous and got the job done in one day. I couldn't be happier with the results and the job paid for itself in energy savings. I would definitely recommend North Pole Insulation.
