"Do not use this company! I will start posting bad reviews everywhere to help even one person save their hard earned money. The day after Ken installed my AC, it wasn't cooling the house. Three years later, no resolution. He said I should insulate the attic to fix the problem. Three other AC guys agreed that I should do that, but all three said that the air coming out of the vents shoyks be 13 degrees less. I agreed to pay more money to fix it, at Ken's suggestion, just to put it behind me, then he ghosted me. He also did not install it to code. One of the AC guys who came to look at it said it was so bad, it should be completely ripped out. It took me three years to save up the money for the job. Do yourselves a favor: do not use Ken Clark."

"I had the misfortune of hiring Lion Enterprise to fix my PTAC. I called them to replace a burned power cord as diagnosed by my electrician who came to replace my kitchen light fixture. They came but did not bring a power cord with them. They had to return the next day and took less than an hour to replace it. 2weeks later, their office called and asked for the cc number as they had the wrong number. I asked them how much it will cost, they said $275. + tax.I agreed. Later, they charged my card $489.94. I called, they told me the guy who quoted $275 did not know and they refused to compromise. Charging more than what was permitted is fraudulent and amounting to theft. Caveat Emptor, do not entrust them with your cc number. Ask for a bill and then authorize the payment. A lot of crooks there."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Here’s how AC professionals will clean your AC coils:

  1. Unplug the AC unit or turn off the breaker to the unit in your circuit breaker box.

  2. Remove the faceplate.

  3. Spray a vacuum hose attachment or compressed air can to remove debris, dust, dirt, and grime.

  4. Use a soft-bristled fin comb to remove stubborn caked-on debris.

  5. Use the vacuum hose to suck up any extra debris.

  6. Take a coil-safe cleaning solution and spray it onto the coils. Try to choose a no-rinse solution.

  7. Let the solution sit for at least 15 minutes.

  8. Gently wipe away loosened grime and debris with a microfiber cloth.

  9. Reattach the faceplate, plug in your AC system, or turn the breaker back on.

The best way to reduce heat upstairs is to release it by opening a window. Hot air rises, and if you can create some airflow by opening a window upstairs and also one on a lower level, the hot air should be pushed out of the home. Remember that fans pointing out the window do a much better job of circulating air than fans pointing into the home.

Yes. Your air supply should be balanced. The return and supply ducts need to maintain that balance, and this only occurs because an equal amount of air should be entering and leaving your HVAC system. Changes in pressure, extreme weather, and blocking vents with furniture or your stuff can make the air supply unbalanced and cause your home to get too cold or hot.

Unfortunately, a freon leak will persist even when your AC unit is off. The freon in the AC unit is under pressure no matter the status of the system, so it will continue to drip through the leak even when you shut off the entire unit. It will continue to leak freon until it’s completely empty.

Absolutely! You can seriously improve the overall value of your home by maintaining high-quality, compatible systems for heating and cooling. Potential buyers will love not having to worry about getting a new HVAC unit for 15 to 20 years and will pay more for it. For maximum efficiency and cost savings, replacing the furnace and air conditioner at the same time, when possible, gives you (and potential future buyers) reliable comfort and modern convenience.
