"Tom came over a month or so to check my installation on my exterior doors , my exterior sump pump hose discharge and then came today to check on my gutters! My doors were great and Tom fixed my sump pump discharge so that it will be easier to connect my hose to! He checked out my gutters and they were good! Tom is very knowledgeable and explains very well on problems and solutions! He is so easy to talk to and very friendly! I find him to be very honest and that is important to me! I will be calling again for my handy man projects! I also want to say Melissa is great to work with! Thank you!"

"When he set the appointment to be at our house on a Saturday morning at 8:00 am. He was here with a crew of 5 plus himself. Job was done around 2:00 pm. All the branches were cleaned up and stumps removed along with the wood chips. We kept the wood from the 2 trees and they stacked it off to the side for us. Great job/customer service."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

Schedule all mandatory final building and electrical inspections immediately after completing pool construction and installation. Update your homeowner's insurance policy to reflect the new addition. Retain all as-built drawings showing plumbing and electrical lines for future reference. Establish a strict seasonal winterization routine before the first hard freeze hits Fargo. Proper winterization prevents catastrophic pipe bursts and structural damage from severe ice expansion.

Helpful?

Heavy clay soil removal and dewatering efforts add unexpected expenses to pool construction and installation. Meeting the deep frost line requirements in Fargo demands extra concrete and structural reinforcement. You must account for electrical panel upgrades and natural gas line extensions to support heaters and pumps. Factor in yard remediation, as heavy equipment access inevitably damages landscaping. Annual professional winterization services represent another consistent expense.

Helpful?

Expect pool construction and installation to take three to five months from planning to completion. Permitting takes two to six weeks, while the active build requires eight to fourteen weeks. The usable construction season in Fargo runs strictly from May through September. Rain delays and slow-draining clay soil cause additional scheduling setbacks. Hire a contractor during the winter to secure a spot for the summer season.

Helpful?

Choose concrete for your pool shell, as its structural rigidity withstands ND freeze-thaw cycles and clay soil movement better than other materials. Select stamped or brushed concrete with expansion joints for the decking to accommodate frost heave. Use flexible PVC connectors to absorb ground movement. Finish your pool construction and installation with a solid safety cover rated to handle heavy seasonal snow loads.

Helpful?

Hire a licensed contractor with proven experience handling ND winters and extreme freeze-thaw cycles. Your professional must understand deep frost-depth excavation and proper winterization protocols to prevent structural damage. Ensure they know how to navigate the high clay soil and high water table common in the Red River Valley. Book your professional well in advance for pool construction and installation, as the short building season fills up quickly.
