Maybe he's not putting the effort into his business anymore, and maybe he just didn't want to do honor his warranty. But I went through h*** getting Tony to come back out and fix this small section of the roof. Here's an actual transcript of my notes and records: 7/24/12 Tony came out, quoted $675 to put in a fancy new drain. Will fix the leak for free. 7/25/12 Called his work #, left a message. Told him we could try to just do the warranty repair first, see if that fixes it. 7/30/12 Called his work #, left a message. Told him I'm upset he hasn't called back or come to fix the leak. (it was raining frequently and the roof was leaking into the inside of the building very badly.) He called me back later, said he was out of town. He will try to come out next Wednesday. I agreed to buy and install the drain. Maybe the money will make him do the work sooner. 8/2/12 called, he's waiting for the drain to arrive today. Maybe he can install it next Friday. 8/6/12 I left a message on his machine, missed his return call while I was busy. 8/8/12 left another message, when is the drain coming in? 8/10/12 He promises to do the work early next week. Says he just got the drain. 8/20/12 Called and left a message at both his work and cell numbers. 8/22/12 Called and left a message at both his work and cell numbers. 8/28/12 Called both his numbers again. Told him I'd file a complaint with the BBB and sue him for breach of warranty if he doesn't repair it by the 31st. 8/30/12 Tony called me back, promised to fix the leaking spot tomorrow, but not the drain. Was not apologetic, had no explanation for avoiding my calls for a month. 8/31/12 He came out and patched it! Add the drain later? We'll see if this fixes the leak. 9/12/12 He called to check in. (will wonders never cease?) It's still leaking a bit, but I can see exactly what needs to be fixed. He said he'd come out by next Friday and complete the job. 9/14/12 He came and added more to the patch. Looks good. And that's what finally fixed the leak. As you can see, it took almost a month and a half to get one leak fixed under warranty. All he had to do was put down a few sheets of the pvc squares and heat seal it on. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. Terrible terrible service. He clearly feels it's okay to just ignore you if he feels lazy or doesn't want to come out. He never apologized or had any explanation, even hinted that I was being too uppity and high strung.

This was a new construction and Mr. Partin s proposal was accepted. The initial (rough in) phase appeared to go smoothly and Mr. Partin was paid $10917.42 for this work. Subsequently, Mr. Partin was required to reorient multiple valves and two drain stubs that were inaccurately placed in the master bathroom. This remedial work was performed by Mr. Partin, but not in a timely manner which delayed other work. In April 2008, Mr. Partin was contacted regarding completion of the project by May 1st, 2008. Mr. Partin arrived at the job site, placed a whirlpool tub in the middle of the bathroom floor, began fitting a drain, and left. Mr. Partin then sent his son to the house to finish the work, but he was unable to do so and cited a desire to let his father undertake the more complicated installations. ClearWater Plumbing was again contacted regarding completion of the project and corrective work. Dates to begin work were proposed by Clear Water. However no one showed up on those days and no explanation was given. ClearWater was again contacted in writing (May 1st, 2008) in order to determine if they would be able to finish the job. Subsequent phone conversations indicated that they would complete work during the first week of May. ClearWater was again contacted on May 7th at which time they indicated that all work discussed would be completed that afternoon. When we expressed reservations about completing a multiple day job in one afternoon, we were told to not say anything more. They were reminded about the remedial work and we were again told they would complete the job that afternoon. In approximately 10 minutes ClearWater Plumbing called back and told us to find another plumber. Subsequently, ClearWater Plumbing called building inspections and requested a plumbing inspection despite knowing that the job was not complete. They also indicated falsely to the inspections department that we had moved into the house prior to having a Certificate of Occupancy. Inspection confirmed that the plumbing was incomplete and that the dwelling was not occupied. We feel that this was quite simply an unprofessional retaliatory act on their part. Review of the work performed by ClearWater has found numerous defects including hot water feeding a toilet, hot and cold water lines crossed, missing parts, vent pipes exhausting sewer gas into the attic spaces and the owner purchased plumbing items in disarray or thrown in the trash. Despite this we have been billed by ClearWater for an additional $6129.06 despite having a written agreement that this payment was due at completion of the work. In addition to billing for uncompleted work on a job that ClearWater abandoned, this invoice also includes items that were not installed in the house. Needless to say we are mortified at the poor quality of the work done by ClearWater Plumbing."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/nc/pittsboro/clear-water-plumbing-reviews-287149.htm"},"position":5}]}

FAQs for french drain service projects in Wanchese, NC
Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.
When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.

The cost to install a drain pipe is $600 on average, but the total can range between $150 and $2,000. Some cost factors that influence your project price include the type of drain, the area’s accessibility, the proximity of existing drain lines, and whether you’re installing a new drain or replacing an old one. Replacing the p-trap or s-trap under a single fixture will usually cost around $150, while replacing a main drain pipe can cost well over $2,000.
Yes, most states require plumbers to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.

We highly recommend leaving the work of replacing drain pipes to a professional plumber. Drain pipes are a key part of your plumbing system, and making mistakes during the installation or even using the wrong size pipes for your specific fixture can lead to an elevated risk of leaks and clogs. Additionally, drain pipes prevent harmful sewer gas from entering your home, so hiring a professional plumber is essential to keeping the risk of leaks and clogs low and avoid reducing your indoor air quality.
